Impulse's P.O.V.:

Beast Boy, Blue, Guardian, Bumblebee, Superboy, Wolf, Arsenal, Wonder Girl, and I enter the Warworld.

"Alpha Squad to Watchtower. Green Beetle's schematics are on the money at least so far. We're en route to take down Mongul. No commander, the threat ends," Superboy states.

"Beta Squad is en route to the key chamber. We snag the crystal key and the threat ends," Blue Beetle declares.

"Gamma Squad is en route to disable the Warworld's power core. No power and the threat ends," Bumblebee speaks.

"Delta Squad moving into position. Laying down cover fire for surface forces...now," Batgirl announces as she starts shooting the cannons, destroying them, on the Warworld. A few of the Justice League members who were not sent to Rimbor, start breaking apart the weapons.

"Nowhere to hide," Blue says as we notice a flying cart stop in front of us. Its compartments open to reveal red diamond-like battle drones that shoot lasers at us.

I run to avoid the lasers, running around the area, hopping on the drones, and destroying them. Blue uses his plasma cannon to destroy them, and Beast Boy uses his shapeshifting to cause the drones to shoot each other.

"Beetle to Watchtower. We've been spotted! The Warworld knows we're here," Blue exclaims.

"Fine with me. I like the attention. At least a big alien Death Moon notices when I'm around," Guardian responds boldly.

"Was that a slam on me, in the middle of a mission?" Bumblebee questions, irritated.

"Woman, when are you not in the middle of a mission?" Guardian responds, causing me to raise a confused brow before pummeling more battle drones.

"Delta to Watchtower. Bioship estimates that Fate, the League, and Delta are neutralizing sixty-four percent of the Warworld saturation attack at the source. But that's not going to cut it," Batgirl speaks.

"Watchtower estimates that Earth's military forces will neutralize a further thirteen percent," Aquaman states.

"Entering power core now," Bumblebee announces.

After destroying more than half of the battle drones, we made it to the crystal key chamber. I punch another drone, destroying it, and Beast Boy is perched on my arm as a falcon.

"Beta to Watchtower. We're in," Blue declares.

"And there it is," he says.

"Uh, this could take a while," Blue speaks after more drones fly toward us.

Before I run toward the drones I let Beast Boy fly off my arm, him turning into a gorilla, while Blue blasts the drones with his plasma cannon.

"All surface weapons have been silenced. Is it over?" Captain Atom inquires.

"Mongul is down and contained," Superboy answers.

"Nice work, Alpha," Batgirl praises.

"I'd love to take credit, but we didn't do it. His machine stumbled. I'm guessing with a little help," Superboy speaks.

After the drones clatter to the ground, Blue grabs the crystal key.

"I'll just take this for safekeeping," he says.

"Great job, everyone. Now rendevous ASAP so we can bring you home," Nightwing orders.

Beta Squad, Gamma Squad, and Delta Squad meet up in the hangar of the Warworld.

Beast Boy transforms into his original form, while Guardian ruffles his hair.

"Oh, do we rock?" Batgirl asks.

"Girl, we rock!" Bumblebee exclaims with glee.

"Was there ever any doubt?" Blue asks.

"None over here," Guardian replies to Blue.

"Hey, where's Alpha?" Guardian wonders.

"Trudging along with the big bad who must weigh like a metric ton. We're just a couple minutes out," Superboy declares, a struggle in his voice as he carries Mongul.

"I know we all did our part but really, you saved the day. You and that big, beautiful brain of yours," Guardian tells Bumblebee with a smile.

"Thanks. But it was your idea," Bumblebee replies, petting Sphere.

"I wouldn't call it an idea. More like a desperate cry for help," Guardian responds, causing Bumblebee to laugh.

"Mal, you know I couldn't have done it without you," she says, slowly walking toward him.

"No, that's not true. You would have found a way. Karen, you are destined for great things. And I haven't wanted to admit it. To admit you've just outgrown me. But we can't hold on to high school forever. And I am so proud of you," Guardian confesses, placing his hands with hers.

"You know something? You are an idiot but I'm an idiot, too. I've been taking you for granted when the thing is, knowing you're there for me makes all the difference," Bumblebee says as she and Guardian lean in, embracing each other in a kiss.

I frown, remembering the memory of Zanobia, how I was about to kiss her, but I never got the chance. Now she's gone forever.

"Wow. How do I get that reward?" Arsenal asks with a smirk, as Wonder Girl and Superboy carry Mongul.

Wonder Girl kisses his cheek, causing him to grin. "It's a start," he states.

"Well, the gang's all here," Blue starts.

Suddenly, I get knocked out, cold, landing harshly on the ground.
