Baby, bring it to me
Bring your sweet loving
Bring it on home to me~ Sam Cooke

Music plays gently throughout the room, swaying couples holding each other on the dance floor including my brother and his new wife who were wrapped in each others arms so tightly it was like they had become one person. Simon and Isabelle play argue beside me, something about how handsome he was and she pulls on his thin tie, bringing their lips together.
They smile into it like they always did and Alec groans to my left. It doesn't last long though as Magnus, wearing a sparkly black suit that lit up like a disco ball when the lights hit him takes his boyfriends hand over the table and Alec turns towards him with a soft smile, intertwining their fingers and brings it to his mouth to plant a delicate kiss there.
I grin down at my lap so neither couple things I'm staring but Magnus leans over the round table to look at me.
"are you lonely, biscuit?" He asks me, his perfect eyebrows downturned in concern but he has a smile on his face "I could dance with you, I'm an incredible dance partner." He offers and i shake my head at him.
Magnus and i had grown very close over the last six months, and he wasn't lying about being a brilliant dancer. He'd certainly taught Alec a thing or two.
"No, I'm fine Magnus. You two should dance." I nudge Alec in the side and he side eyes me with a smile "I swear I'll pass out if i attempt another dance." But Magnus is already pulling him to his feet "Now theres an idea, lets go Alexander. Life is too short not to dance at every opportunity presented."
Alec doesn't look thrilled about it but he doesn't complain, he does less of that around his boyfriend, like Magnus made it difficult for him to be so grumpy about things.
"I suppose you have a point." He says on their way back to the dance floor and Magnus drops a wink at me from over his shoulder before they disappear into the crowd of couples. It had been an absolutely beautiful wedding.
The hall was large and white, draped with curtains of silk and bouquets of red and white roses, soft lighting illuminating all of the well dressed guests. My mother stands in the corner straightening out Lukes suit jacket and shirt with an exasperated shake of her head, her floral gown straight as a pin and he laughs at something she says warmly.
The night was winding down and my feet were beginning to hurt in my expensive shoes but i couldn't find it in myself to care. It had been one of the best days in my entire life.
I get up to go to the bar, taking full advantage of the free champagne that was flowing. I lift my dress to save me tripping over it and order my drink, looking around again at everyone i loved in the one room. Well, almost everyone.
