Chapter 18

Everyone stared at the girl, shocked. Tomura raised his eyebrows and walked forward, "You don't have to do this", he told her. Seiko shook her head, staring straight forward, "No, it's my choice", she replied firmly. Tomura sighed, defeated, "You won't be able to go back to U.A. now. You'll have to stay at the hideout with me and the rest of the league." Seiko's eyes filled with fresh tears, thinking about how she worked so hard to get in and reflecting on her dreams of becoming a hero finally being crushed just how Tenko's father always wanted.

It was like her whole life was crashing around her right now and she couldn't do anything about it. If she had given up her quirk, she probably wouldn't be able to stay at U.A. anyways. Kaminari stepped forward, "Please don't do this, Seiko..." He put a hand on her shoulder as tears filled his eyes. Bakugo and Kirishima looked at the scene before them, feeling their hearts ache as well. Seiko reached up to cup his cheek in her hand, "Everything will be okay, Kami. I'll still keep in touch." She brought her hand back down and removed his hand from her shoulder, "I'm sorry" She whispered as she looked upon the three boys she had felt so kucblove for. Even Bakugo. He kept trying to make things right with her despite both of their shitty attitudes towards each other; she sniffled.

Bakugo sighed, "Seiko..." He approached her, "Are you really sure this is what you want?" She blinked away her tears as she looked at him, "Yes" She stated firmly. He frowned, "Just like that?", he questioned sadly. Seiko nodded, wiping away more tears, "Yeah... Just like that. If I had known this was the way things would end I would never have come to U.A." She wiped her eyes and glanced at the rest of the boys, "I'll call you guys soon ok?", she asked softly. They nodded, "We're here if you need us, Seiko" Kirishima replied and she hugged him tightly, "Thanks, Shitty Hair."she said teasingly, letting out a broken laugh that turned into tears. Tomura pulled her away from Kirishima and held onto her tightly. "Be careful, Seiko" Kaminari muttered, his voice low. She nodded, "I will", she answered softly. Bakugo stepped towards her and wrapped his arms around her tightly. "Be careful out there, Sei. I don't want to lose you. Please be safe." She squeezed him letting out a little laugh, "I'll try, hot-head", she promised him. They released each other and Bakugo nodded, laughing lightly. The three boys turned and left. Seiko turned back to All for One, "Let's get this over with."

"Seiko, this will only take a moment, dear" All for One said, taking her hand in his own. He led her to Doctor Garaki who began prepping for the surgery, Tomura and Toga following close behind. "Hello, Seiko. Go ahead and step into the chamber." Seiko looked around curiously and stepped into the chamber. "Let's begin." Doctor Garaki said. Suddenly, Seiko began having flashbacks of her childhood, reliving the abuse she and Tenko endured, seeing Tenko destroy his family all over again and her destroying his father after he tried to kill him. Her heart role over and over and she relived the past. The memories ended almost as soon as they began, the chamber opened and she stumbled out falling. Tomura rushed over and caught her in his arms. Her hair had turned white and she looked much more grown up than she had previously. Tomura looked down at her in worry when her eyes fluttered open, revealing red eyes that matched his looking back at him.

She suddenly gripped him tight and buried her head in his chest, sobbing hysterically. He held her tighter. All for One looked at them curiously, but kept silent. After a few minutes, Seiko calmed down and pulled away from Tenko, wiping her eyes. She looked at All for One, "I'm ready."
