'Frank!'

'Franklin!'

'Frank!'

'FRAAAAAHHHHAAAAANNNK!'

Several voices yelled at the poor blob, but blobber didn't mind them at all. Neither did I. Once I got my bearings about me, I was able to see the golden blob was a golden retriever. His fur was so bright, it shined in the evening sun.

Someone had pulled Franklin off me, and another offered a hand to help me up. Hastily, I took it and dusted myself up.

'I am so sorry for Frank's behavior,' the woman said, looking at me concerned.

I squatted down to the pouting dog's level and opened my arms to him. He came instantly, tail wagging. I had thought about getting a dog for myself, but I knew I wouldn't give it the time and attention it deserved. So, playing with others at the park or watching them was enough for me.

'This guy is beautiful,' I complimented, stroking down his back. I liked the wagging tail and his goofy smile.

'Yes,' she said. 'He's about three.'

I straightened back up and dusted off my butt. 'So, he's still a pup?'

'Mhm.'

I checked my phone and frowned, sighing. Wyatt was closest to me and looked as well. 'Oh no. The fall busted your phone.'

'Oh my god,' said the woman. 'Come inside. It's kinda chilly out here.'

My mouth falls to the floor. I was standing inside a wonderfully decorated foyer, listening to the pitter-patter of dog claws against flower tiles. These tiles run from the front door all the way to the back archway of the kitchen entrance or what I assume is the entrance. Soft yellow walls compliment the yellow flecks in the floor and mahogany trim accents tied it all together with the pops of colorful art on the walls. I really didn't mean to gawk and snapped my mouth shut again, when I caught Wyatt looking at me.

'Evie never told you she had a rich upbring?' This was dripping with sarcasm.

'I'm Louisa, their mother, and thank you for bringing Wyatt over. Evelyn said a friend would be dropping him off.'

'Sounds like she had this planned,' I muttered and added at a louder volume, 'It wasn't a problem at all, ma'am.'

She smiled at this, showing lovely teeth. Her thin hand ran through her hair. The straight light brown strands fell back into their perfect position after the motion. Perfect.

I was careful to make light on my feet, not allowing my footfalls to be heard. It was obvious that I was not meant for her wonderful world. Even my breathing I tried to control and make quieter. Another peppermint was in my mouth, the soothing mint hit my tongue and started to make me feel a little better. It helped that there was someone I knew here too. Not that we knew - knew each other, but I felt a sense of comradery with him through our strange music tastes.

He seemed rather uncomfortable in his, what I assumed, childhood home. Another face made their appearance known. 'Ahh, about time you showed up,' she snapped.

'This is my other son, Lucian.'

My eyes widened and all the color drained from my face. It was him. It was him. It was him.

Even though I said had forgotten his face.. no, no.. I never forget a face.

'Who's the omega?' Oh god. That voice. A shiver ran down my spine. 'Big brother's plaything?'

He smirked chuckling, at my embarrassed expression. 'Obviously, not,' I played off. I was used to this sort of thing. 'Your brother is way out of my league.' I offered a small smile in his direction and turned my attention back to Wyatt.
