Scream For Me (Scream 5)- Chad Meeks

--Let's Get This Party Started--

Maya opened the door to her house which was pitch black. She led Chad into the kitchen and sat him down. 

Maya went to the freezer and grabbed a bag of peas handing them to Chad. "For your face" 

"It doesn't even hurt," Chad said refusing to take the bag.

Maya pushed the peas into her boyfriend's chest. "Yeah well, I'd rather my boyfriend not look like a puffed-up pufferfish because of me."

"Ok whatever, just go get ready. I'll sit with peas on my face in the meantime." Chad said finally putting the peas on his cheek.

Maya turned away running up the stairs. She stopped in front of her mom's door. Opening it she noticed that the room was empty and her bed was perfectly made meaning she hadn't been home.

Maya got worried thinking the worst had happened to her mom. She heard footsteps coming up the stairs revealing Chad still holding the peas to his face.

"Hey, you ok." He said whispering not getting a full view of her mom's bedroom.

"She isn't here Chad. She wasn't at the hospital either. I'm starting to worry." She said turning to look at her boyfriend. 

"Hey... listen I'm sure there is a perfectly good reason as to where she is," he said rubbing her shoulders in a supportive way.

"Your right. I'll just try to call her." Maya grabbed her phone out of her pocket revealing a message from her mom. 

"Shit, my phone must have been on silent," Maya said letting out a sigh of relief at the message.

Maya. Sweety. Sorry, I haven't answered your calls. I was grabbing some lunch down at the restaurant and my phone died. Only got to charge it now. Stay safe. Love Mom x 

She signed it with her signature 'love mom' ending which let maya know everything was good and she could finally breathe again.

"Okay, beautiful. Time to go get ready," Chad said smacking Maya on the butt.

"Hey!" Maya said pushing his hand away with a laugh.

They had arrived outside of the Freeman household. Maya looked at herself in the mirror. She had fixed herself up after looking like a complete mess.

Her blonde hair was tied back into a messy yet perfect ponytail. She had applied her usual natural glowing makeup. She reapplied a new bandage much smaller than the one previous which had taken up almost her whole cheek. She dressed in a comfortable pair of jeans and a white crop top to go with it.

As she stepped out of the car she noticed she had made a mistake. "Fuck I forgot a jacket." 

"Here take mine," Chad said handing over his blue and yellow Panthers varsity jacket.

"Well, aren't you going to be cold?" she said not wanting to take away his only source of heat.

"Don't worry about it. My lady always comes first okay." He said walking away from the car.

Maya looked back into the car to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything. She looked and saw the pepper spray Wes had given her.

Maya grabbed it and put it in the back pocket of her jeans along with her phone running to catch up with Chad who had made it to the entrance of the garden.

Maya took her boyfriend's hand while walking up the path. She looked at the house ahead of her. She hadn't been here since the events that took place the night Lily died.
