Scream For Me (Scream 5)- Chad Meeks

--Please Be Ok--

Chad started to wake up as his body was being moved from the grass to the stretcher. The paramedic starts to shine a light in his eyes causing him to get confused by his surroundings. 

He attempts to sit up but is told to lie back down by the male who is tending to his wounds. 

As Chad starts to roll toward the ambulance he sees his sister entering an ambulance also having serious injuries. He looked around to see Sydney, Gale, Sam and Tara all in different ambulances. However, Chad was quick to realise there was someone very important missing from the equation. 

Maya. 

As he realises her absence he starts to hear a commotion happening across from him.

"Clear......Clear....come on Maya stay with us."  

At the sound of panic surrounding the area Chad tries to call out to Maya but his voice is nothing but the sound of weakness.

He looks over to see the paramedics trying to bring Maya back from death. 

The whole group sits in silence waiting for a sign of life from the young girl. 

But before Chad could be relieved of this pain. The doors to his ambulance shut leaving him in pain not only from his wounds but from seeing his girlfriend in the state she was in. 

Chad wanted to stay awake. He wanted to know that Maya was alright. However, the longer he sat there the closer he was to entering a world of abyss.

As Chad opened his eyes he noticed he was in a hospital room. The beeping of two monitors filled his ears. He looked to his right to see Mindy who was watching Friday the 13th on the hospital TV.

In between the twins was their mother who seemed to be chatting to Mindy.

"Mom... Mindy." Chad's voice came out croaky from not speaking for so long.

The pair looked toward the boy with beaming smiles on their faces.

"ayyeee he's alive," Mindy said with so much joy. 

There was only one thing on Chad's mind. 

"Is Maya ok?" He asked. 

Mindy's excitement dropped, while Martha's head hung low. 

"Sweety, she was rushed into emergency surgery an hour ago. We have no idea." Martha said. 

At this statement, tears ran down Chad's face. Martha took her son's hand to comfort him. 

A few seconds later a doctor walks into the room.

"Ahhh Mr.Meeks it's great to see you are awake." the doctor said while checking on Chad's vitals. 

"Is Maya Adams ok," Chad asks the doctor with nothing else on his mind.

"Well she is out of surgery but that doesn't mean she is out of the woods. Only time will tell." The doctor said. 

"Although I do have to say the two of you guys are very lucky. You guys were very smart to stop the bleeding with the piece of sheet." The doctor continued while checking Mindy's vitals. 

Chad seemed confused about that part. 

"That was Maya. She took them off of her own wounds to help us." Mindy confirmed what had happened to Chad. 

The doctor gave a smile to the twins. "Well I've gotta say, that girl is a true hero. Now you two get some rest. If there is any news on your friends I will let you guys know."

It was pitch black out. Chad hadn't slept a wink. His mother and sister were knocked out beside him but all he could think of was Maya. 

He had to see her. He had to make sure she was ok. 

He hobbled over to the wheelchair he was using to go to the bathroom. 

Very quietly Chad opened the door. He peered outside to see if anyone was around. He couldn't get caught or he would be sent back to his room.

The coast was clear. 

Slowly he wheeled out of the room but he noticed a light shining down the hall. 

Before he could get caught he hid behind a pillar. 

Peering out he noticed it was Sam who was pushing Tara in her wheelchair.

"Wait, Sam? Tara? what are you guys doing out here." Chad whispered.

"I could say the same about you dickwad" Mindy says causing Chad to jump at her sudden appearance behind him.

"We wanted to make sure Maya was ok. We heard she was in surgery." Sam tells the twins. 

"I'm guessing we are all here for the same thing right?" Tara asks the group as they all nod in confirmation. 

They spent over forty minutes trying to find her room and also trying not to get caught along the way when finally they found it. 

Chad approached the door and opened it. 

They were shocked to find that Maya wasn't alone. 

Gale was sitting right by her side holding her hand. 

Gale turned to see the group of people. 

"I just...." Gale began.

"Yeah us too," Mindy replied knowing exactly what gale was going to say.

The group all gathered around Maya's bed. She looked so peaceful but that peace was obstructed by the many tubes that were coming out of Maya's arms. 

Chad took her other hand and gave it a long kiss. 

"My saviour."

None of the group could sleep that night so they sat up telling all their favourite memories with Maya. 

Finally, as the sun started to come up the group had all fallen asleep surrounding the young girl.

I promise the next chapter will be the last of scream five I just thought it was such a cute moment to have at the end of the chapter. 

I am starting to come up with a plan for Scream Six but I just want to know if should i make Scream Six a whole separate book or keep the story altogether.
