Scream For Me (Scream 5)- Chad Meeks

--Dead Best Friend List--

"Are you sure you don't want me to come to Wes' with you?" Chad said following behind his girlfriend as she headed to the car.

"Chad I'll be ok. Plus, I've downloaded 'Find my fam' so you know where I am. Hey! That rhymed."

Chad was glad to see that his girlfriend was in a better mood after what happened to her yesterday.

"Ok well if you need me, I'm only one call away," Chad said leaning in through the window.

Maya gasped. "Will you be there to save the day?"

"Supermans got nothing on me." The couple laughs and leans in for a kiss.

After the short kiss, Maya pats Chad on the cheek. "Ok, Charlie Puth back out of my window now. I've got a date with Jake from Brooklyn nine-nine."

Chad waved as his girlfriend backed out of the driveway.

As she headed in the direction of the Hick's household she felt a bit hungry. There was a gas station just down the road from Wes' house so she decided to head in there first.

She called Wes on the way there. "Hey, Wes. I'm heading to the gas station now. Do you want anything from there?"

"Oh Cheetos, please. I'm just heading into the shower now and Mom is picking up sushi for us all."

"Judy is back at it again winning the best mom of the year award over here."

"I love me some sushi. Anyways I've gotta go. See you later alligator." Wes's voice rings out through the phone.

"In a while crocodile," Maya said as she hangs up the phone.

Within ten minutes she was at the gas station. She grabbed some Cheetos. Maya saw the Slurpee machine and couldn't help but crave one as she saw it.

She grabbed herself a blueberry Slurpee and headed into the line to pay.

As she is standing waiting. Her phone rings.

Unknown Caller

For fuck sake will I ever catch a break?

"What." She calls out getting sick of this usual routine.

"Wow, Maya no need to get angry. I just wanted to tell you I made a little surprise visit to the hick's household. There's a little surprise for you at the door. Oh, and another one in the house." The Ghostface voice calls out.

Maya drops her Slurpee and Cheetos to the floor running toward the exit. The angry voice of the worker calls out behind her but she doesn't care all she cares about is getting to her friend before he met his deadly fate.

She ran to her car and zoomed down the road at lightning speed. She didn't give two shits about anyone who was beeping at her to slow down. Her friend was in danger.

On her way, she called 911 and told them how she believed her friend was in trouble. She told them the address.

"Ok Ma'am emergency services are on the way please stay put until officers arrive." The dispatcher said over the phone.

Maya hung up the phone. "Stay put my ass."

She sped around the corner to the house. As she pulled up she saw Judy on the floor in front of the house blood pouring out in a pool around her.

"Oh no no no no," Maya said falling down beside the woman. Judy's eyes were wide with terror letting Maya know that the woman was dead.

Maya looked toward the house trying to look for any indication that Wes was ok but all that she saw was an empty house.

She walked up to the front door. Maya tried to open the door but it seemed to be locked. Maya knew exactly where the spare key was hidden. She reached into the bush beside the house and grabbed it.

She unlocked the door and as she went to walk into the house something fell at her feet. It was Wes. Wes' dead corpse to be specific.

Maya let out a deafening scream and fell onto her ass crawling away. She went over to the bush to vomit for the second time today. The sound of sirens racing toward the house followed closely behind seeing the awful sight of her best friend dead.

Maya sat in the back of an ambulance with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders while a cop asked her a few questions.

Sam pulled up right beside the house and saw Maya sitting in the ambulance. She ran up to check on the girl.

"Maya, are you ok? What happened." Maya couldn't answer her she just sat staring into the abyss.

Sam looked over to see Judy's body covered in a tarp. She looked over to the cop who was asking Maya questions "I...I know her son. Is he..."

"He's dead," Maya replied still staring off into the distance.

All of a sudden a news van pulled up, but the two girls weren't paying any attention to who walked out of it.

"Excuse me" The girls look over to see Gale Weathers standing there. Under better circumstances, Maya would have been delighted to see the woman but her best friend was dead, so she wasn't really jumping for joy at the moment.

"Oh, my god. You're... Well, you're you" Sam said standing in awe and looking at the woman.

"Last time a checked. Are you guys ok. You's seem like you're having a bit of a moment." Gale said looking between the girls.

"Yeah, I just need a minute." Maya walked away from the woman. Sam went to call after Maya but Gale stopped her.

"Let her. This must be hard for all of you guys."

While Sam and Gale were standing having a conversation about the sheriff. Maya walked over and sat by the curb. She needed to be alone right now. Lots of thoughts ran through her head.

This is my fault. If I got here earlier this wouldn't have happened.

She looked up to see Dewey talking to Gale. As she saw this her phone rang. She sighed and didn't even check who it was. She guessed it was this motherfucker and she was right.

"Poor Wes. If only you got there sooner. First Lily. Now Wes. You're running out of friends Maya. If we were In I know what you did last summer this is the moment when you run around in circles screaming what are you waiting for over and over." The killer said laughing.

"We aren't in a fucking movie you sick fucker!" She screams alerting Sam and Dewey.

"Maya, what's going on? Is that him?" Sam said looking at Maya who was pacing frantically.

Maya only nodded. The killer spoke up again. "Oh, but it is a movie. It's my movie and the next scene takes place in the hospital where I'm going to take away another one of your best friends." Ghostface hung up.

"Sam we've got to go to the hospital right now Tara's in trouble," Maya said to the girl.

Sam didn't ask any more questions and turned towards the car.

Maya hopped into the passenger seat while Sam prepared to drive. They heard the back door open. They looked back to see Dewey buckling up. "What are you waiting for? Drive!" He said.

The girls looked forward and Sam sped down the road.

Maya just hoped they made it to Tara in time before she made it to her dead best friend list.
