Christian felt a weight lift off his shoulders. He knew that he had found someone special in Ella,and he wasn't going to let anything come between them. He pulled her into a tight embrace andwhispered in her ear, "I'm so glad we're on the same page."
He knew there would still be so many more challenges that they would have to face but foronce, he would have someone who really saw him stay by his side.
He pulled away from her slowly. A glint of mischief sparkled in his eyes. "I wanted to show yousomething. Come with me."
Ella followed him as he exited the room. His steps got quicker as he approached the fire exit.After looking around to ensure that no one was watching, he held the door open for Ella. Theyused the staircase behind the door to climb to the highest floor it lead to. When they opened thedoor, they found themselves on a narrow corridor that looked out onto the stage. One side of thecorridor was against the wall while the other just had a thin railing on it. From here, they couldsee all the lights in the concert arena.
Just when Ella thought they had reached their destination, Christian made his way to a ladder atthe end of the corridor. He climbed it up and got onto the steel railing. His feet rested on onehuge steel bar while his hand grabbed onto a smaller pipe on top. He used his free hand togesture to Ella to come up.
"Don't worry. It's safe. This metal beam is not giving away any time soon and the corridor is lessthan five feet below us so even if we were to trip, it's not actually a fall. Plus, leaning on the wallbehind makes it comfy too." Christian grinned.
