It felt soft and comfortable. The duvet covering your body was warming you up, the fluffy fabric hugging you tightly as you shifted on the mattress. You sighed in content.
It felt as if you were lying on a cloud.
Wait.
A bed?
Your eyelids were glued together and it took all your will to force them open.
You looked around, confused.
You did not recognize the place.
Suddenly, the warmth enveloping your body felt like too much. You pulled the cover away from you. The fluffy fabric scraped under your fingertips and scratched at your body.
In polar opposite from before while you were still asleep and oblivious, uncomfort quickly filled you, your guts telling you something's wrong.
You felt so sick, head throbbing.
As you looked around and took in the surroundings, you saw the room lacked any decorations, plants, pictures or any other things in general which would make it cozier. But this room looked as if no one lived there, only a lone table without a chair in the corner of the room being the second piece of furniture located there, with the bed you were on the first. The paint on the wall was falling off, the only source of light above your head was the lightbulb dangling from a cable, shining brightly.
There was something wrong with the room.
Looking at the bright light only worsened your headache and so you tore your gaze away, shutting your eyes to try calming down your uneasiness and nausea.
Once you opened your eyes again, it clicked.
There were no windows here.
Strange. What kinda houses don't have windows?
Every house had a window.
Then how...?
Old grey walls, lightbulbs on cables, no posters nor pictures... The basement.
You gulped.
It had to be.
But how did you get in there?
The doors opened, pulling you out of your thoughts. Your eyes widened as you quickly turned to look in the direction of where the sound came from, bracing yourself for the worst.
The boy from yesterday's night - it it was yesterday, who knows how long had you been there? - came in, his curly hair bouncing on his head, his round glasses sitting tightly on the bridge of his nose.
He came in, carrying a tray of something.
When he met your gaze, he smiled boyishly at you. "Hi, you've finally woken up."
"Finally?"
"Yes. You were asleep for three days." He stepped closer to you and you backed away on the bed.
He chuckled at your behavior. "You don't need to be afraid of me. I brought you some water and breakfast, you must be hungry."
At the mention of food, your stomach let out a grumble at which the boy laughed even more.
"Who are you? And where am I? Why am I here?" you bombarded the boy with questions. You didn't remember everything from the night at the bar where you've seen the boy the first time, but you were sure you didn't get any substance which could lead to you being asleep for three days, if he wasn't lying, and godknows where even you were.
"Hey, slowly," he smiled at you, "you might want to eat first. Then, I'll answer all your questions."
He beckoned the tray with food closer to you and you took the plate from it, carefully sniffing the toast placed on it.
