The next morning I woke up early and made myself ready for breakfast. I was putting in my earrings when there was a knock on my door, probably Lewis. I walked to the door and opened it. "Hey, I need to finish putting in my earrings, but than we can go." I walked back to the mirror and began fidgeting with it again.
"That's okay, it's not even 8 yet." Lewis walked in and closed the door behind him. He walked over to me and sat down on the bed behind me.
"God, why doesn't this stupid thing work." The earring just didn't want to close and it slipped out of my hand the whole time. I let out a frustrated sigh and tried again. Failed.
I was still busy with my earrings when all of a sudden I felt a hand touch my cheek. I froze and watched as Lewis put my hair out of the way.
"Stop moving, I'm going to put it in." Lewis said softly and I let my hands fall against my sides. I was completely frozen as he gently put it in, trying not to hurt me.
"Thank you," I said and sighed when it finally closed.
"You're welcome." Lewis' voice was so close, I could feel his breath on my ear. I immediately got warm. I didn't move as he traced his finger from my ear over my jaw, all the way to my chin. He grabbed it gently and made me look at him. My heart was pounding so much I thought I would die. Lewis looked into my eyes for a few seconds, not saying anything. We were just staring at each other. I don't know for how long, but I certainly got lost into his eyes after only a few seconds.
"We should go..." Lewis whispered, still staring at me. We didn't break eye contact and I swear I would die right here.
I just nodded and looked at my feet, breaking eye contact. I felt his gaze still on me. And we didn't make a move. "Yes- uhm.. let's get some food." My voice felt like it didn't belong to me. I felt so shy, while I normally was very confident.
We made our way to the dining area and got a table. We first got our food before sitting down and we chatted away. After a few minutes we were all done and got ready to leave.
"Should we head to the track?" Lewis asked.
"I need to know what my team wants. If you give me five minutes than we can see if I can go. I walked over to my security, who were watching the area while I ate with Lewis. "Is it ok if we go to the track? Or do we need to go through soms rules first?" I asked my security guards. They didn't really know and said that they only got instructions for the race day. So I walked away and hooked my arm to Lewis's. "Let's go!"
We walked outside and got to the track, which was right outside. "I'm so happy to stay at the track instead of further away." I held my hand on Lewis's arm, not wanting to leave his side.
"Yeah, it's great," he said, but he didn't really sound like he cared. Today he wore a white suit. It was so beautiful and it made me think of summer nights where you would sit around a fire and eat marshmallows. He had his blouse a bit open of the top, showing a few of his tattoos on his chest. I kept checking him out and didn't really look at the crowd forming around us.
"Why're you checking me out the whole time, do I have something on my clothes?" He asked with a hint of a laugh in his voice.
I shook up and let my gaze leave him. "No... I- I just kinda like your outfit," I said with a bit of hesitation.
He smiled down at me. "Thanks, I like yours too." His words made me blush. I had a dress on, which fitted my body perfectly, following every curve of my body. It was champagne coloured, secured with a brown belt with some cute stones attached to it. It was messy, but elegant enough to attent a social event. I smiled at him but didn't say anything anymore. The crowd around us kept growing and when we arrived at the entry they were swarming around us. They kept asking questions and were pushing their way through. I ignored them all. We walked into what I assume was the paddock and left the crowd behind. I didn't let go of Lewis's arm the entire way until we stopped in front of a building which had the Mercedes logo on it. I put my hands behind my back and looked up, admiring the sky. It was sunny and only a few clouds were showing in the bright blue sky.
