"You look absolutely stunning." Lewis looked me up and down as I stood in the doorway. I smiled as he let out a low 'wow'.

"So what restaurant did you choose?" I linked my arm with his and we walked towards the elevator.
"We're going to something really special. You'll see." He grinned down at me and I raised an eyebrow.

"Now I'm curious," I said as we walked into the elevator. We went down to the lobby and went to the underground garage, where Liam, another bodyguard of mine, was waiting for us with a car. "Liam, love, you're an angel for driving us," I said as we approached him.

"Anything for you, Your Highness." Liam head-bowed to me. He opened the door for us and we climbed in.

"So, Liam, where are we going?" I asked him, in the hope that I can find out through him.

"I'm not allowed to say, Your Highness. Sir Hamilton gave clear instructions to not tell you anything about this so called 'date'."

I turned to Lewis. "A date, huh?"

"I did not say to him that it is a date. He made it up." Lewis threw his hands up, trying to act innocent.

"Uh-huh... and I'm not the princess. Very funny, Hamilton." He laughed at my attempt to make a joke.

We pretty much talked the whole ride to the so called date. I mostly asked him what we were going to do and he somehow would bring up another topic every time. Luckily after only 10 minutes of trying to interrogate him, we pulled up at a field.

"I thought we were going to eat something..." I commented.

"Just wait, please." Lewis smiled at me and watched as Liam got out of the car to open the door for us.

Lewis got out first and held his hand out to help me get out of the car as well.

"I'll be waiting right here, Your Highness." Liam confirmed as I got out of the car.

"Thank you, Liam."

Lewis took my hand and pulled lightly, making me focus on why we're here in the first place. "Are you coming?" He smiled at me as I looked up at him.

"Yes. God, I'm dying to see what you planned!"
Lewis pulled me with him and led me up the little hill that was covered in all sort of flowers. It was so peaceful and quiet. The flower field expended until the horizon, where you could see a few tiny houses.

My breath was caught in my throat as I saw the cloth on the ground. "You made a picnic?" I asked shocked.

"I thought that it would be better than some fancy restaurant." Lewis stopped right in front of the picnic and he squeezed my hand shortly.

"This is so thoughtful of you, Lewis." My heart melted at the sight of all this. He really did his best and I almost couldn't keep my eyes dry.

"Come, sit." He pulled my down with him and we sat down on the cloth. It was pretty big and was covered with all sort of food and drinks.

I sat down legs crossed opposite Lewis. "Did you make all of this?" I looked around amazed. There were some doughnuts and cookies, but also sushi and Chinese food.

"I had some help from Carlos. All this food was hard to set up and I was scared that someone would steal it before we arrived." I laughed at his comment.

"That's so nice of him... I should thank him the next time I see him!" And I hoped that would be tomorrow at race day.

"Yeah he would be happy to be thanked. But, how are you?" The question made me smile. It's not something everyone asks you everyday. And as a princess you never hear those words, not from someone close to you anyway.
