I was making myself ready when I got a text from Lewis. It read: 'I'm picking you up in 20 minutes, be ready this time'. I rolled my eyes at the screen and sent a thumbs up. I put on a cute dark green dress which didn't really cover much and put some white sneakers under them. Of course heels would look so much better under the short dress, but no way in hell that I'm going to drink with heels on. I would definitely fall.
I just finished my make up as I heard voiced outside.
Pete greeted someone from what I heard and the other one greeted him too. Lewis.
I ran to the door and opened it. I leaned against the doorframe and watched as Lewis slowly let his eyes drift over my body. He chuckled when he saw my sneakers.
"You're ready I see." His voice sounded harsh and it somehow made me blush. I nodded and closed the door behind me. "It was nice to see you, Pete." Lewis waved at the guard before taking my hand and dragged me with him.
"Where are we going?" I laughed as he hurried down the hallway. He stopped at some stairs and I made a questioning look. "Are we going up?"
"Yeah. There's a bar on the roof. But let's go, they're waiting for us." He didn't let go of my hand and took me up the stairs. When we arrived on the roof there was an open space with a lot of sitting areas. Lewis opened the glass door that led to the open roof, but before we entered he let go of my hand and let it fall next to him.
My smile disappeared and I questionably looked at Lewis. He walked in front of me to the bar. There were sitting three other people at some of the barstools and I began to feel anxious.
Somehow I just didn't like meeting new people sometimes. And right now I wanted to sink through the ground and walk right back to my room.
But of course I couldn't so I followed Lewis and stood behind him as we had approached the three men at the bar. They all greeted Lewis, but they didn't greet me yet. Which is not surprising since I'm literally hiding behind Lewis's back. Or I was...
Lewis stepped aside and looked at me. I started to get awfully red and I felt ashamed. This somehow is way different than greeting a crowd... "Hi, Jude! Nice to meet you. How was your first ever day at F1?" One of them asked me. And I was absolutely flabbergasted.
I didn't say a word for what felt like an eternity, but then I found my voice again and answered his question. "Hi.. umm yes it was quite nice." I looked at Lewis with a questioning look.
He picked it up and turned to the guys at the bar. "Sorry, guys. I forgot to mention that Jude isn't that good in public." Lewis began. "She in fact never went outside before." He grinned and I looked angry at him.
"That's not true. I'm just not able to. But that's not important." I looked at Lewis and squinted my eyes. Two can play this game. "So I heard from Lewis that you were also drivers, for which teams do you drive?"
The man who greeted me a minute ago answered. "I drive for McLaren. The name's Lando Norris." He shook my hand and winked at me.
I giggled. "Well nice to meet you Lando. And who are these handsome guys next to you?"
The man next to Lando turned to me and shook my hand as well. "Daniel Ricciardo, but call me Dan. I drive for Renault." He smiled and I immediately smiled back. He had such a cute, big smile.
I turned to the next guy. He had two drinks in his hands. "Here you go, it's a margarita, I'm sure you'll like it." He pushed the drink in my hand.
"Thank you." I grabbed the drink and took a small sip. It somehow made me feel warm and cold at the same time.
