Walking up to the sound of your alarm clock you lazily shot out of bed to get ready for the day. Nobody in the house was awake yet and you debated on even getting breakfast till it hit you: "Ill just get something at the coffee shop when I get Mr.Darlings drink." You thought.

Checking the time it was still a few minutes before you had to be at the bus stop, just enough time to get the coffee. Rushing down the stairs you made sure to leave a small note for your sister explaining what time you'd be back before heading out the house with you coat and bag.

The sun hasn't risen fully but the sound of cars and shops opening up gives the street a nice glow. It had rained that night so dew coated the plants and streets, giving the air a fresh smell and the temperature a cool breeze.

Pulling your coat closer to your body, you made your way to a small cafe near the bus stop. You'd known the owner, a nice older man and his wife who was close friends to your mom when she was younger, so you trusted them enough to make a good cup of coffee.

Stepping into the cafe the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans and bread filled your nose. It was still to early to have any real crowd but the occasional person took seat on a table with their coffee.

"Miss.(Y/N)! What brings you here so early in the morning?" Mr.Bruno was wiping off the counter with a smile that made the corner of his eyes wrinkle.

"I'm here to get some coffee and a snack for my new job!" You said proudly, pulling out some cash as you walked up to the counter. Bruno seemed quite shocked by this and let out a loud laugh.

"MARIA! Get over here right now!" He called out to the back of the cafe. His wife, Maria, walked out with her signature apron and updo. She seemed shocked at your face and looked over at the time, sending you a questioning look.

"Little (Y/N) here finally has a job!" Bruno said proudly causing Mrs.Maria to clap her wrinkled hands together.

"Oh that's just lovely dear! I remember when you used to help us out around here when you were only 8. How fast you've grown into a spitting image of your mother." She said, walking around the counter to gently pat your cheeks.

"Ok ok, what would you like? I don't want to hold you any longer with our teasing." Bruno patted his round belly, seeming pleased to have your face around the cafe again.

"One coffee, sugar and milk. But only enough milk to make it not bitter, and extra hot so it can cool down on my drive over to the studio." You say, patting your hands on the counter while looking around.

It wasn't that you didn't want to visit the Cafe anymore, you were just always so busy trying to find a job or take care of your mom that you never found the time. The place didn't seem any different though which made you smile. "Still the same old cafe with the creaky doors." You joked in you head.

"Anything else?" Bruno asked, beginning to get out the coffee.

Scanning over the glass that displayed their food, you settled on a simple bagel, "Just a bagel that will be all."

"So what's this job you have now?" Bruno asked while pressing the coffee grinds into the machine.

"It's as an actors assistant! I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say who but they are really famous."

"An assistant? I could see you doing that, you're really hard to budge." He laughed as he took the fresh pot of boiling coffee and poured it into a to-go cup, adding just enough milk to make it not bitter and a good amount of sugar.
