Pheng had one rule: Don't throw brooms at people who are asleep.

Said rule was created after Delta Zakuro threw a broom at him, interrupting his much needed nap. Delta even forced him to help with the Spring cleaning.

It was a lazy afternoon: Bees buzzed, flowers bloomed, and the late afternoon sun gently filtered through the Victories' garage door. A light breeze accompanied the setting sun, cool mid-spring air making its way into the gym.

The gym was awfully quiet, unusual for the Victories who always seemed to be raring to move on to the next battle. The surge of attention from news reporters and other beybladers had finally faded, and most of the members were out of town for a beyblade competition.

Birds continued chirping outside, Lui and Dante argued as they cleaned the windows outside, and Delta's broom swished along as he swept the floor. Pheng still managed to fall asleep with all the quiet noise, his soft snores adding to the ambiance of the afternoon.

The four were an odd group, who were trusted enough to actually do their chores and not burn the entire gym down. Granted, Lui and Pheng were both invitees of Dante and Delta, but what the other Victories didn't know couldn't hurt them.

Pheng was woken up at approximately four in the afternoon, Delta disturbing his peaceful slumber. He blinked lazily, eyes immediately met with the warm, but blinding sunlight that was coming through the door.

"Sweep." Delta said, chucking a broomstick at the groggy blader.

Pheng just groaned, not noticing Delta's jacket that had been so carefully placed over him. "I don't even live here."

"You've been asleep for an hour. Any more time than that and you won't be able to sleep tonight."

Pheng yawned as he stood up, grabbing the broom despite his protests. "I forget if you or Blindt are the smartest of us three."

Delta temporarily stopped sweeping to think for a moment. "I think it's definitely me. Blindt's got his head in those clouds he always paints."

Pheng stifled a laugh. "You've got a problem with clouds?"

"Have you seen his place? That's all he paints! All the damn time!"

Pheng just laughed softly, beginning to sweep slowly. His limbs were stiff from choosing the couch to nap on, but he wasn't going to complain.

That itself was odd, Delta taking note of Pheng's abnormal silent demeanour. He expected more protesting, or Pheng insisting he didn't live there like Lui had said to try and get out of washing windows.

"Everything alright over there?" Delta asked, sweeping his small pile of dirt out the garage door. It was the county's problem now.

Pheng sighed, leaning on his broom. "Not really? It's-" He paused, rubbing his temples. "It's...a lot to explain."

Delta nodded. "I get it. You don't have to tell me everything right away." He looked over at Pheng. "Just know that when you're ready, I'll be there to listen."

Pheng smiled weakly, starting to sweep again. "Thanks, Delta."

Delta hummed, gathering up another pile of dirt. "Life can be shit sometimes. Anyone who doesn't lend a helping hand to someone who's struggling is an asshole."
