Seonghwa's POV

Everything happened so fast, I didn't even catch her number or something. I was hoping when to meet her again. So, I called Wooyoung and told him to look for her and any info about her. I needed to see her as soon as possible. I had to listen from her too before judging the situation.

As for San, I warned him and told him to be more careful and even thought about stopping him from working under Wonshik and spying on them. His life mattered more than that stupid truck. But, I wasn't backing off. Not yet.

"Did you get anything?" I asked as I walked to Wooyoung's desk. He was deeply focused on his laptop as he seemed confused.

"I can't seem to find anything interesting about her." Wooyoung snorted and handed me the papers he printed a while ago.

"Wooyoung, it's not the time to joke" I rolled my eyes and scanned through the files.

I read all her basic information before flipping the page and continued reading about her.

It said that her parents gave her up to an orphanage called 'Happy cloud' and then was adopted in 2003 by the family of Lee SuMan who died cause of cancer. His wife took care of Y/n until the age of 17 before passing away. Y/n worked as a cashier in a convenient store and then at the library. She sold the house and bought a small apartment. She studied at art academy but dropped out of college after her second year.

This whole thing never made sense to me. There was something off with it. I had decided to look into it by myself.

I thanked Wooyoung and left. I called San into my office and he arrived after few minutes.

"Yes, hyung?" He asked while closing the door behind him.

"I need you to stop spying on Wonshik's" I said without giving a second thought.

"What? But why?" San seemed surprised and sighed in disbelief. I didn't understand why he was acting that way.

"It's not safe anymore, San. We have to be more careful and I've got another thing for you" I explained and he raised his head at the mention of what I got for him.

"What is it?" He asked, trying not to sound so desperate.

"I want you to look for the true identity of someone" I told him as I watched one of his eyebrows raise.

"And who is it?" He asked.

"Lee Y/n" I answered and his reaction didn't go unnoticed by me. He seemed suspicious.

San's POV

Shit! Shit! Shit!

"I'm screwed" I groaned and took the towel that was hanging on the wall and wrapped it around my waist as I left the bathroom after the long shower.

I was in a big trouble. How was I supposed to do this! We made a promise to each other but now everything was going to change. I had to talk to her and figure this shit out before I get myself killed.

"Why is he so into Y/n?" I asked myself as I wore my gray sweatpants.

I couldn't sleep properly since then.

Y/n's POV

I kept tossing around on bed. I checked the electric clock beside me on the table and it was almost 3 in the morning. I just couldn't sleep no matter how much I tried.

I sighed and tried to not think about anything but there was an uneasy feeling. I felt like something bad was gonna happen and every time I get this feelings it actually happens.

I grabbed my phone and checked if I have any messages. I found one from San.

Mountain: We need to talk.

I named him 'mountain' because I didn't want to take risk in anything.

Again, this message just kind of confirmed my feelings. Something probably happened and we were both screwed. I felt it.

I decided to text him back:

Me: About what? What happened?

I typed and sent it. Just when I was going to put my phone back and turn to the other side to try and get some rest, my phone vibrated and it was a message from him.

That was too fast.

Mountain: He's looking for you.

Me: What do you mean?!

Mountain: He wants me to find your true identity!

Me: Wtf?!

Mountain: Ikr...What are we gonna do?

Me: idk...

Mountain: I can't sleep

Me: Me either

Mountain: He even asked me to stop working under Wonshik

Me: He what?!!!

Mountain: Please, don't let anybody know. You're supposed to be my enemy, you know...

Me: I know... don't worry, I'm even thinking about quitting everything.

Mountain: What!? Why?

Me: I feel like it's the right thing to do...I just have some things to look for before really doing it...

Mountain: Really? And what is it?

Me: My real purpose of working under Wonshik and what I really want...

Mountain: You're right. I hope you make the best choice.

Me: Thank you.

Mountain: No need. Good night?

Me: Yeah we should sleep. Good night. Let's talk tomorrow.

Mountain: Alright, bye.

I put my phone down and stare at the ceiling. I wasn't going to sleep for sure.

"What do you want from me now?" I sighed and mumbled sadly.

I know this chapter is short but I promise after exams I'll write more and longer chapters. Plus I have to reread this book again in order to continue with interesting new chapters.
