Kyles POV
It was a typical Friday morning for me. I sat up from my bed, stretching my long limbs. I yawned, standing up, unplugging my phone, and checking the time. It was 7:30, meaning I still had 30 minutes to get ready for school.
I hurried as fast as I could. I was going on a date with my boyfriend, Stan, after school that day. I threw whatever t-shirt I found first, blue baggy jeans and my everyday orange jacket on.
"Good morning, bubbie," said my mom.
I smiled at her. "Morning, ma!"
"Can you give Ike a ride to school today? I have to go to work early." she sweetly asked as I slipped on my converse. "Of course I will," I honestly answered.
"Thank you, sweetie," she planted a gentle kiss on my forehead. "Have a good day!"
"Will do, ma!" I smiled as I plopped on his big, green hat.
I walked outside to see Ike already waiting in my car. I had saved a lot of extra money to buy it. It wasn't great, but it got me place to place without killing me.
I drove Ike to South Park Elementary. On the way, we sang along to whatever was on the radio at the moment.
"Bye, Kyle!" Ike hugged me as I parked. I watched him run towards his friends, giggling as his backpack bounced around.
Suddenly, I got a text from Stan.
Stan ❤️: Hurry to school, Cartman is being annoying, and I wanna see you 😒
I smiled and typed a fast message before I quickly, yet legally, drove towards the high school me and my friends all attended.
I parked in my reserved spot, excited to get inside and see my boyfriend.
As I walked to our normal hang out spot, I saw Kenny, Cartman, and Butters, but no Stan.
"Uh hey guys, where is Stan?" I asked, confused. He literally just texted me about how excited he was to see me, but he wasn't even here.
"Dunno. Said he had an 'emergency' and left," Cartman spoke with his mouth full of whatever they served for breakfast that day.
"I saw him go that way," Kenny mumbled into his parka and pointed down the hall. "Thanks." I managed to get out before walking to find my man.
I walked for a solid 5 minutes before I could finally hear his voice. He was talking to someone, laughing at a joke they just made. I couldn't tell who it was. "Stan?" I called out.
He looked in my direction as I stepped towards him. The mysterious person was nowhere to be seen. "Who were you talking to?" I confusingly as. "Oh, it's nobody important," he shook it off. I felt a ping of jealousy. Why wouldn't he tell me?
"Are you excited for our date tonight?" He smiled, making me blush. I suddenly forgot I was upset. "Yea, I really am."
I slightly bent down to give him a kiss, his face turning red in response. The bell rang, and I rolled my eyes. "Why can't I just hang out with my super awesome boyfriend for five minutes!" I jokingly yelled. It made Stan laugh, which made me blush even harder.
I grabbed his hand and walked him to class. "See you during lunch, Stanley." I teased. He looked both ways down the hallway before pulling me down for another kiss, instantly walking into class once it was over. It left me flustered.
Me and Stan had been in a secret relationship for 6 months, but I had liked him for years beforehand. When he asked me out, he admitted he had too. We've been happy together ever since. I couldn't help but want to be public with our relationship, but I knew that wasn't an option yet.
It was Stan's idea to keep it a secret. He said it was because he didn't want anyone to know he was bisexual yet. Sometimes, I couldn't help but think he was embarrassed by me, but I knew that wasn't true. He loved me, and I loved him.
I walked to my own class, bored out of my mind. I couldn't wait for school to be over. I just wanted to spend quality time with my boyfriend, even if we already spent most of our time together. Dates are different. We can't be a cringy couple at school. We have to hide.
