From dawn to dusk, each new day blooms,
Shining until late nightfall looms,
Promising fruitfulness in toil,
In laborious hands and fallow soil,
'Make hay' they say, 'while the sun shines',
Out in the fields, deep in the mines,
Since labor is blessed, let's seize the day,
In prayer, in work, and finally play.
