One fruit did the Lord Almighty forbid,
The first law of love, not envious hatred,
But man so desired, a single touch,
A little taste he craved very much,
Lured by its beauty, ensnared by a lie,
He traded immortality, left to die,
By his vain greed he doomed all mankind,
Became a lost child for the Father to find,
Who came as a man and died on a tree,
Restoring lost life, setting mankind free.
