Chapter 6: Real Dad

As the day went by, Brady still wasn't going to school. Finally, when school was over, Renee came home and decided to call Brady.

Renee: She called him. Brady, why weren't you at school today?

Brady: He answered. I wasn't feeling well...I had a very bad dream.

He then went on to explain about the awful nightmare he had last night to her. He spoke in full detail about being kidnapped by three guys and about his biological dad Stefan creeping him out.

Renee: I'm sorry about your dream...

Brady: Renee, what did we go over in class? Do we have homework to do?

Renee: We do but it's not a lot. I can explain it to you.

During dinnertime, Brady barely ate because he was still nervous about whether or not he'll encounter Stefan again in his dreams. His brother Brennan was sitting in his toddler chair eating a small bowl of food.

Hugo: He noticed Brady's worrying expression and said. Brady, what's wrong? Is everything okay?

Brady: I just don't want to see that guy again in my dreams.

Brady: Please tell me he's not real.

Hugo: I believe you won't see him again.

Christa: You can sleep with us again, Brady. So you won't feel terrified.

Brady: Well I think I'm going to try to sleep alone once more.

Brady: I'm hoping I won't have to experience that again.

Brady: I'll be brave. I promise.

Christa: Anything you want. We will be in our room if you need us.

Brady: Ok. I will call you if I'm feeling frightened.

Brady got ready for bed the same time his parents went to sleep. The lights were closed and he went to sleep after a few minutes. But then he started to have another bad dream. He was walking home from school with his backpack like usual and then he stopped when someone spotted him. It was that same man from his last sh*tty nightmare. He was wearing the same strange aristocratic clothes and a red ring. It was Stefan. It seemed like he had been waiting for Brady to come.

Brady: He was frightened. Why are you here again?

But before Stefan could respond, the sky grew darker and it started to rain and lightning contributed to thunder.

Stefan: With a creepy smile. I was looking for you, Brady. I came to pick you up from school.

Stefan: You shouldn't walk by yourself...

Brady: Stay away from me! You're not a real person!

He ran as fast as he could to get away from that creep but he was stopped by Stefan's friends, Kade and Roger.

Kade: You shouldn't do this to your dad, Brady. He was waiting this whole time.

Brady: He's not my dad. Don't tell me lies and leave me alone!

Brady fainted on the ground and everything became pitch black.

Brady ended up sleeping on a bed and his eyes were still closed with Stefan sitting and watching over him. He patted Brady's cheeks and forced him to wake up.

Stefan: Hello Brady I know you're still alive. Wake up because we have much to do together.

Brady: He woke up. Do what, exactly?
