Kion and Sarabi headed up Priderock. Sarabi walked up first, making sure the Royal Family wasn't in sight. She flicked her tail, telling Kion he could come up.

Kion climbed up the rocks. He nuzzled his grandmother, "Thank you for saving me." Sarabi gave him a warm smile, "Anything for my Kiongozi."

Kion looked at the sun. It was slowly setting, not a cloud in sight.

"Beautiful isn't it," Sarabi closed her eye's, taking in the gorgeous view. "Yeah. It is," Kion replied.

They both sat there, watching the sun slowly set.

Sarabi felt weaker than usual. It hurt to breath, and her vision was blurred.

"Grandmother Sarabi, let's go in now," Kion said, nudging the old lioness. "Oh right yes. Let's go," Sarabi stood up, but her legs were shaking.

Stars appeared in the sky as the two lions walked into Priderock.

Simba glared at Sarabi. He hated it when she was around Kion. Simba knew he had to respect the Elders, especially his mother, so he couldn't hurt Kion when she was around him.

The Royal Family glared at Kion. "Stupid furball," Kopa growled.

Kion and Sarabi laid down. Kion snuggled close to his grandmother.

Sarabi coughed quietly, and nuzzled him. They both fell asleep.

Sarabi felt her breath slipping away. She opened her eyes slightly, and saw paws, coated in stars.

She looked up weakly, and saw Mufasa. His mane shone brightly. He smiled at her, "It's time my queen."

Sarabi sighed, and her body went limp. Mufasa sat there, waiting. A starry figure of Sarabi rose from her body.

Her soul stared at Mufasa, while her body lay limp on the ground. Mufasa nuzzled her, "It's good to see you."

Sarabi smiled. She sadly looked down at Kion, sleeping beside her dead body, "He doesn't deserve this."

Mufasa sighed, "No he doesn't. But he will find his way."

"How! He doesn't have the Roar anymore!" Sarabi shouted. Mufasa looked away, "I didn't take it from him...Mohatu did."

"WHY! What has he done to Mohatu! What has he done to anyone! Kion is the sweetest, and kindest lion you'll ever meet! He did nothing to deserve this!" Sarabi screamed. Only Mufasa was able to hear it.

"Mohatu said, 'Those who can't even defend their own self, shouldn't have the privilege to defend others'. Kion refuses to defend his life. Mohatu believes that only those who defend their self, can defend the lives of others," Mufasa explained.

"Thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard!" Sarabi growled. "I tried talking him out of it, but Mohatu wouldn't listen," Mufasa sighed.

"Well maybe I should smack some sense into him," Sarabi growled and ran up into the sky. "No! Sarabi!" Mufasa shouted and ran after the lioness.

Kion shivered. He felt cold, and snuggled closer to his grandmother. He still felt cold. He looked up, and saw his grandmother asleep.

"Grandmother Sarabi. Wake up," Kion gently nudged her. Sarabi didn't move. Kion buried his muzzle into her fur, but it was cold. Her body no longer producing heat.

Kion's eyes widened, "G-Grandmother?" Sarabi still didn't react. Kion wailed, "NO!"

Simba woke up, "Shut up you moron!" "It's Grandmother! S-She's gone!" Kion cried in agony.

Simba stood up slowly, and walked to his Mother. Nala, Kiara, Kopa followed close behind.

"MOTHER!" Simba shouted. He shoved Kion aside. Kion rolled over. He growled at his father.

"No. No mom not you too," Simba cried. He nuzzled Sarabi.

Nala sighed

Nala sighed.

Kopa and Kiara smirked at eachother. Kion no longer had someone to protect him.

Kion sat at the back of Priderock. He wasn't allowed to be near Sarabi.

Simba sighed and looked up, "It's time to bury her." The lionesses walked up and gently grabbed Sarabi by her scruff and walked out. Simba, Nala, Kiara, and Kopa followed.

Kion stood up and started to walk out. Simba turned around, "No. You aren't coming."

"W-What!" Kion felt tears form in his eyes. "My mother wouldn't want...you at her burial," Simba looked at Kion, digusted.

"She's my grandmother!" Kion cried. "No," Simba said firmly and walked out.

"GRANDMOTHER!" Kion wailed. He ran out of Priderock. Simba let him run.

Kion ran to the only place that he could think of, the Outlands. Kion stood at the border. He looked around, "Maybe...it would be better over there."

Kion stepped over the border, into the Outlands.
