Kiongozi, prince of the Pridelands, 3rd cub to Nala and Simba, Leader of the Lion Guard, and defender of the kingdom, was always neglected by his father. His older siblings, Kiara and Kopa, hurt him mentally and physically, and Nala pretended like h...
As Kion ran after Kovu, he ran past a lion couple. They were both Outlanders, and had two cubs. The male had a smile on his face as he gave his cubs a ride. They squealed with happiness and held on to him tightly. Their mom watched, chuckling to herself.
Kion slowed down and watched them, wanting to have cubs of his own someday. But the only lioness he wanted to be with, was a cannibal.
"Yo Kion! You frozen back there?" Kovu shouted, turning around. Kion sighed and ran up to his former mentor.
"Hurry up. We want to be in the front lines!" Kovu had a smile on his face. Kion nodded. He and Kovu ran to the army. Rani was at the front, telling everyone their positions.
Kovu padded up to her. "Queen Rani, me and Kion would like to be in the front lines." "Sure. But remember, the front liners get the most wounds." Rani replied.
"Pfft! That's a myth!"
"Suit yourself." Rani shrugged. Kovu smirked and stood in the front, Kion at his side.
"Ready to fight your family?" Kovu asked. Kion was lost in thought. "Kion!" Kovu nudged him.
"Huh! I'M AWAKE!" Kion shouted, jumping up and unsheathed his claws.
"I didn't ask if you were awake." Kovu replied. "Oh...uh what did you ask?" Kion sat back down. "I asked if you were ready to fight your family." Kovu repeated.
A low growled formed in Kion's throat. "I've been ready."

"Good." Kovu flexed his claws in and out of the ground.
Rani stood in front of them. "Let's go!" She yowled. They all slowly walked toward the Pridelands.
Kion walked faster up to Rani. "Queen Rani?" "What is it?" Rani asked, twitching her tail in annoyance. "Could you leave Simba to me? I want to get my revenge."
Rani turned to Kion, a smirk on her face. "Of course." "Thank you." Kion dipped his head, and fell back into step with Kovu.
The Outlanders walked over a hill, and Priderock was in sight. Kion ran forward, and roared, warning the Pridelanders of their presence. To his suprise, the Roar Of Elders was with him.

Rani roared as well, and the Outlanders swarmed into the Pridelands.
Kion caught sight of Simba on Priderock. He smirked. Now that the Great Kings had given him his roar back, he had the upper paw in this fight. He looked at the sky for a moment. "Thank you grandmother." He saw Sarabi look down on him. "Anything for my Kiongozi."
Kion smiled, but then a frown formed on his face. He roared again and charged toward Priderock, right for his father.
Nala and Kopa were side by side with Simba. Kion halted infront of them, snarling.
"You've chosen war?" Simba raised an eyebrow. "I chose respect!" Kion growled and launched himself at Simba.
Simba threw Kion off him. Nala and Kopa jumped onto Kion, ripping his fur. Kion summoned the Roar Of The Elders, and blew them off him. Nala's eyes widened. "T...They gave it back to him."
Simba growled. "That Roar makes you weak!" Kion stood up, his muzzle bleeding. Simba slashed his claws across Kion's face.
Kion roared in pain, and slammed Simba into the ground. Simba pushed Kion off him with his hind paws.
Kion looked around, and saw Rani on the ground, Kopa was about to sink his teeth into her neck. "NO!" Kion roared. He knocked Kopa off his paws, and looked at Rani while Kopa was in shock.
Rani's eye's were glazing over, death wouldn't be far from taking her. Kion couldn't let that happen. "Retreat!"
The Outlanders listened, realizing they didn't stand a chance.
Simba roared in triumph. Kion grabbed Rani's scruff and ran her back to the Outlands.
Kovu ran beside Kion. "What happened!" "Rani's dying." Kion's voice was muffled through Rani's fur. Kovu's eyes widened.
They rushed Rani to the Outlands, the Outlanders looked at their Queen with worried expressions.
"Everyone move!" Kion growled. They all quickly moved out of the way for Kion.
Kion dragged Rani into her den. Her wounds had opened up more from him dragging her.
A pool of blood surrounded Rani. Her eyes were open, still glazing over. Rani's breath started slowing down, getting ragged.
