Kion shivered at the sudden breeze. The ground beneath his paws was firm. Not soft like in the Pridelands.
Kion looked at the dead plants, and carcasses, "Maybe if they had a guard of their own, this wouldn't happen." Kion thought to himself.
As Kion was walking, he heard a growl. He looked around, but didn't see anyone, "Uh...hello?"
"What are you doing here, Pridelander," Kion heard a voice say. He could definitely tell it was a male.
"I left. My family hates me, and my dad won't even let me attend my grandmithers burial," Kion explained, looking around.
Kion looked to his right, and saw a lion growling at him.
"Why should I believe you! You could be a spy!" The male snarled.
Kion took a closer look, and gasped, "You're Kovu! Zira's son!" Kovu growled, "How do you know that!"
"I roared you away from the Pridelands!" Kion shouted. But sighed after, thinking about his roar.
Kovu got ready to attack, "How do you know we were roared out!" He bunched up his muscles.

"Because it was me. I roared your pride away," Kion explained sadly.
Kovu looked at him, "KION!" Kion sighed. Kovu roared and attacked him.

Kion started running, but didn't head toward the Pridelands. He didn't want to go home.
Kovu chased after Kion. Kovu quickly caught up. Kion juked him, and swerved right. Kovu slid on his paws, and quickly charged forward.
Kion jumped up against a rock wall. He dug his claws into it, and started climbing.
Kovu growled and followed Kion, digging his claws into the rock.
"Wait!" Kion shouted as he clung onto the steep wall. Kovu growled and looked at him. "I-I want to kill Simba! I want him dead!" Kion shouted.
Kovu stopped.
