"You guys seem to have made up all of a sudden." Turning my head to Dewey, I look back at the window.

"Yeah, that was pretty quick. Inside, I'm not sure. But he still deserves a change. At least that's what I think."

"How would Mickey think about it?"

"I'll find a way to tell him eventually. Maybe tomorrow? I'm planning on skipping all day to ignore stares."

We arrive back at the department. Reg, Hallie, and Randy fell asleep. Hallie has her head resting on Reggie's shoulder along with his resting on Randy's. Sid is also tired too. She's still asleep, so is Derek. I can see his arm wrapped around her. Everyone fell asleep. All except for Mick. He's in a position where he's waiting for someone importantly. As soon as he saw me, he rose from his seat, tackling me for a hug.

"God, Mick. I'm alright. I'm alright." I let out a small chuckle, hugging him back.

"I was just worried, you know? How'd it go?"

"He only told us about Cici. We couldn't stay much longer out, so he's coming by tomorrow. Five o'clock. And I'm going."

He shortly moved back from the hug. He looks upset from what I told him. "Do you really want to stay in a room with him inside?"

"I know what he did was terrible, but I'm going to be willing to give him a second chance. He's going to be in good terms. I promise." I finally let Mick give up and agree to my point. He sighs in defeat, saying, "Alright. I trust you on this. You know more that I don't and if he does prove it, I'll allow it." I smile and kiss his cheek, thanking him.

"Also, you're coming with me tomorrow."

His eyes widen immediately. "Oh no. No. No. Nope. Not with him in that room."

Called it, anyways. "Mick, you said-"

"No, I know. And I agree with you. I just can't be in a room with someone who hates my guts!"

"About that," Dewey steps in, taking off. "He said he's going to apologize to you. He knows what he did. It was a strange, strong feeling he must've felt from what we heard. That's why Y/n is making you go. If you don't, those good terms will end up in junk."

"As if-" I elbow his side, making him wince in pain. "You change your mind fast, Mick." I couldn't help but chuckle. It was pretty hilarious.

"Yeah, yeah. Sorry." He thinks about it for a second before answering. "I'll come tomorrow morning."

"Great. And since everyone here has been interviewed, you guys are able to go."

Then it hit me. Joel.

"Wait, what about Joel?"

"He came here earlier before you guys. He's with Gale for reports at this time."

I sigh in relief. I was worried about the guy and where he was. But then again, he knows what to do. I took Mick by the hand telling him we can leave. Before we left, I walk over to Reggie's spot and planting a kiss on his head, even ruffling Randy's hair after and Hallie's. Can't forget about her.

Mick used his car to drive to the police department from campus. I came along. When we got in the car, all the heavy weight that was in me faded off. I felt relaxed in his car and didn't want to move a single limb. I didn't feel the mood going back to campus. I want to drive off for a bit. Eyeing the town while Mick goes driving to any direction he turns to. Just some music playing from the radio. That's all. That's what I feel like doing right now.

"Hey, Mick." I grab his attention before he could start his car.

"Yeah?"

"Do you wanna take a drive around the town?"

A sudden smile appears. "Yeah. Did you feel like taking one?"

"I don't feel good going back campus, so why not look and drive around with you for a bit?"

The time Mick started the engine was the time we drove off and went around town. It feels peaceful at this time. Nothing much is happening here. Just like my car, Mick has a compartment with a load of cds inside. He never knew till this day I took one of his cds to listen to.I decided to open the storage and scan through inside. By my view appears a rolled-up magazine. It looks like one of those Rolling Stone magazines you'd hunt around in stores. Turns out it is one.

I decided to take it out and read what is inside. "I never knew you read Rolling Stone." I take a look at Mick, who happens to be smiling.

"I bought it one time with my mom at a 7-Eleven near us. We were buying a slushy. Got bored, bought it, started to collect."

"Seems like something JD would buy around his time at any 7-Eleven."

"Can you not?"

"I'm just saying. He would." I let out a shrug while I continued to read an article on the first six pages. "He could just march to Veronica and go, "Look, Veronica! The Cure is on the cover!""

"Imagine JD listening to goth rock music."

"I think he'll love it. A-Ha too, I think. Not a goth rock band. Just saying he would."

"The only song he'd play for his darling from A-Ha would be "Take on Me.""

"Ah yes. That one hit song basically everyone would listen to with their partner or loved one."

"I mean, I would."

I stopped reading and curved my head around to face him. "You look like that person who would."

"Good way to put it, why don't ya?"

"Well, thank you."

I can see him roll his eyes while I stiff out a laugh. "To be honest, I would play that song too. We should. One day."

"You saying you want a JD and Veronica type-of relationship?"

"What the hell are you on?"

He laughed it off, telling me he's only joking. "It should be like Tai and Travis. You know? From Clueless."

"We should've formed a bond at the cafeteria then." I let out a chuckle. So did Mick. "Maybe, if we were ever to date sometime, we can play that song together. Somewhere."

A smile creeps up on my lips. Hiding from Mick, I answer. "Yeah. Someday. One day."
