Two Weeks Later...
It had been a while since that night Chara confessed to me about her troubled past. We had been in contact, and continued to see and talk with each other. Now, we had cemented our relationship, but life caught up to us.
I was at Grillby's for lunch today, with Sans. We weren't doing much that day, and he was on his lunch break.
"so, how's that new girlfriend going, bucko?"
"Well.. she's been talking to me a lot."
"eh. you'll get used to it. chara always likes having someone to talk to."
"Yeah, yeah." I said, laughing slightly.
"but seriously. she seems like a real sweetheart. i can't imagine you doing anything else without her."
"Hah. Yeah.."
"i know it's weird, but... you're pretty damn lucky, buddy."
I blushed lightly.
"Thanks, Sans."
He gave me a wink, and left to get back on his shift before Papyrus got mad. I continued to stay there for a bit, until I heard someone walk through the bar. Looking back, it was Chara.
She sat down silently, and waved to Grillby to get her a drink. She seemed a little quiet today.
"Hey, Chara."
She shrugged, glancing over at me.
"What's wrong?"
"Just... thinking about things."
"Is everything alright? You look kinda gloomy."
"No, I'm fine. Don't worry about it." She said smiling sadly.
I wasn't going to let it go, though.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
She shook her head again, not meeting my gaze.
"Okay. If you change your mind, just let me know."
She nodded and drank some of her drink. I noticed that her drink was empty.
"Hey, can I buy you another one?"
She nodded and I ordered another round of drinks for us. While waiting for the drinks, I looked at Chara, wondering what was bothering her. Finally, Chara spoke up.
"Hey, you remember when I made that confession to you a couple weeks back?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"I'd been thinking about you... ever since I told you all of that. Now... I feel... lovesick."
"You mean you want to... what? Hang out more? maybe have a second date? What is it?"
"It's... it's complicated. There's this desire in the back of my head, a fantasy I can't stop playing in my head. It's just... complicated."
I leaned forward, grabbing her hand and squeezing it gently.
"It sounds like you want to take things further with me than just hanging out together, huh?"
"Yes. That's exactly what I want."
"But... are you sure? You don't strike me as someone that... active... if you catch my drift."
She had a smile on her face that said something different.
"You know... thinking about it, there's something about just the pure ecstasy of you and I alone, with nothing but love in our hearts, wanting to... do something."
