It was a long day, and y/n had just finished a session of street singing. She peered into her guitar case, roughly counting how much money she had collected, despite the fact that she already knew the answer:
Not enough.
She sighed. If it kept going like this, she would eventually have to move.
She sighed annoyedly as she turned down the street into a humble little alley.
As she trudged through the dark path, she silently gazed upwards to the cerulean sky, dotted with fluffy clouds. From her pocket, she withdrew a small cigarette and a lighter and slowed to a stop.
She gently placed her guitar down onto the ground, cigarette in her mouth and the lighter up against it as she constantly flicked it until it burst into a warm, orange flame.
The cigarette slowly bobbed up and down in y/n's mouth, until she took it out and let out a huff of smoke.
And then, beside her was a commotion.
Two people were sneaking away (rather loudly) from y/n, with-
Her guitar.
"HEY! HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!"
Enraged, she threw her cigarette onto the ground and chased after the thieves with the audacity to steal her precious guitar.
She easily overtook them, blocking their path. She stared menacingly as she withdrew a butterfly knife from her pocket.
Intending to look intimidating, she whipped it back and forth, a series of algorithms going through her head.
Ice pick spin, y2k, latch drop, pen twirl, arial and finish with an ice pick hold. She would think, her fingers maneuvering with each move she thought of.
She tossed it up in the air, watching it spin into her hand, as she finally took a good look at her guitar's captors.
And they just happened to be her ex.
"It had to be you, Adashino Hyuuga."
(a/n: if you know, you know.)
One of the robbers — the one with her guitar — smirked. "Long time no see, l/n y/n. How many months has it been? Since, you know, our breakup?" He asked, feigning curiosity.
"Long enough for me to almost forget your face, but your fat ass had to show up." She sneered. Her eyes darted to the one beside your ex. "Moved on already, huh? And I can't believe," she said, dashing over to him.
Faster than Adashino could react, she curled her free hand into a fist, ready to punch.
"You would stoop this low."
She slammed her fist into Adashino's stomach, knocking the air out of him and sending him backwards.
He landed sideways, managing to not crush her guitar that was across his back.
"Hyuuga-kun!" Screamed the second robber, rushing over to him.
But before she reached him, y/n grabbed her arm and pulled the robber towards her, y/n's knife at the robber's throat and her free hand covering her mouth.
"Hmmph!" She muffled, kicking and flailing.
From the ground, Adashino comforted her. "Ugh- It's alright, Hana-chan, stay calm. She's weaker than you, you'll be fine." He reassured, but y/n could sense major worry in his voice.
