"Nothing to do..." y/n muttered to herself. School was out, and Vivid Street wasn't an option; her guitar strings broke.
She scrolled through her phone, bored out of her mind.
Ping!
A notification popped up on the screen.
<Direct Messages: Arata and y/n>
Arata: l/n? You there?
y/n: yeah, what's up?
Arata: Are you busy?
y/n: nope, I'm free all day.
Arata: there's a new arcade near here, wanna go?
y/n: sure, i'll be there!
Arata: alright, cya there.
y/n sat up on her bed. Finally, something to do!
But before she got ready for the arcade, y/n did one more thing.
<Direct Messages: Toya and y/n>
y/n: yo Toya! I'm going to the new arcade w/ Arata, wanna come?
Toya: I really want to go, but I'm busy. Sorry, y/n. Maybe another time, just the two of us?
y/n: oh ok, that works. Tell me when!
[ 1 👍🏻 ]She sat on her bed, a bit disappointed that Toya was busy.
But on the brighter side, she was going to see Arata, her childhood friend, after a long time!
[time skip: at the arcade]
y/n wandered around the entrance, trying to find Arata. At the same time, she was wondering how much he had changed over the years.
"y/n? Is that you?" Came a familiar voice.
y/n turned around at the sound of her name, and her face brightened when she saw the familiar face of her childhood friend, Tono Arata.
"Arata!" She called in joy, running over to him and encasing him in a hug.
"I thought that girl was with Aoyagi from Vivid BAD SQUAD?"
"Long time no see, y/n! How long has it been?" He asked, hugging her back.
She pulled back and put her finger below her lip in thought.
"Gee, it's been a while... 4 years maybe?"
"That's wild, I can't believe she is trying to get both of them!"
Arata put his arm around y/n. "Let's catch each other up as we play, alright?"
y/n nodded. "You have no idea how much I have to tell you!"
