Sigh. "Meira, she's gone. Let's get out of here." "Gladly. Parker out." Misaki looks at me. "So, now what?" We walk out of the room. "Well, we still need to find some more Plasma Conductors, right?" Belle nods. "Yeah. We've got two good ones. Mars and Paragon."
"Parker to Craft." "Yes, ma'am?" "Kay, don't call me ma'am. It makes me feel old. Would you all head up to the bridge so we can plan out our next step? Plus, I'd like my pilot back."
We all laugh. "Yeah, we'll be right up. Craft out." I nod towards the lift.
Up on the bridge, Kaz resumes her spot and the rest of us gather around Ilirora's console. "Okay, so here we are." Ilirora points to a star map. "We left Mars and are orbiting what's left of Earth for safety. However, while we were at Paragon, I was able to upload the star maps for this timeline. It looks like..." She scrolls the map over. "...hidden within the rings of Saturn is another space station, Aurora Station. This one, however, is still intact and in operation. That might be a good place to start looking. Plus, we could use some supplies."
I nod, looking at Meira. "That sounds as good a place as any to look for parts." She nods back then turns to Kazumi. "Bray, set a course for Aurora Station, within the rings of Saturn." "Yes, mayam." Kaz turns and punches in the coordinates. Meira turns back to us. "Well, get some rest. I'll let you know when we get there." The rest of us head back to the lift.
"I'm gonna check in with Engineering and see if everything is okay." Misaki says when the lift opens up to the residence level. "Okay, babe. I'll catch ya later." I give her a kiss then get off. "I'm gonna check in with the FTL Room and see how they're doing." Belle says to me. "Cool. Let me know if you need anything." "Okay." They both say as the lift closes.
Entering my room, I look around. Catching my reflection in the exterior window, I look down at myself. "Oh geez. I'm a disaster. I need to go change" and head for the bedroom. I discard my old, torn beat up clothes and in only my underwear, I stare at myself in the mirror.
Sigh. Look at me. I need a new look. I open a drawer and grab a barrette, pulling my hair back into a high ponytail. A style that I didn't often wear. Why? It looks nice and it's definitely different from my normal down and messy look. I shake my head a bit and several strands fall. Hmm, I like the way that looks. I'll keep it. Then I remember that 'Crazy Kay' still has the same hair color as I do. When I got the silver, I had to have it professionally done. How could I change it?
I run my hand through my hair, fluffing my ponytail then I stop and look at my hands. "Wait." Snap. Crackle. Suddenly various strands of my hair are a Midnight Blue while the rest are silver. Whoa, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I look kinda hot. God, Misaki's gonna be all over me. Alright, reign it back a notch, Kay. Besides, you need to get dressed or we're definitely gonna have some new issues.
I reach in and grab a blue and white one piece dress. Okay, stylish, yet simple while maintaining max mobility. But if I need to jump or kick, everyone gets a view of my goods. I grab some white capris. Nice.
I turn back to the mirror. Wow, Kaylin. Hmm, now we need some accessories. I grab a belt with an attached pouch. Where did I get this from? It doesn't even fit me snugly. Was this mom's? I turn back to the mirror again. The belt is slouching down one side and it actually looks good. I pull out my pretty boots. They've got a nice flower on the side. Lastly, I grab a pair of gloves. Well, I guess I don't need the right glove anymore. I chuck it back in the drawer and put the left one on.
That's much better, Kaylin. Now we're rockin'. I turn a couple times and check myself out. "Flint to Craft." I pop an eyebrow. "Yeah, babe?" "Could you come down to Engineering? We've got a couple things we want to run by you before we get to Aurora Station." I smile, still looking at myself in the mirror. "Yup, be right there. Craft out." I clean up my stuff and head out.
