Chapter 11

A magic plant
He sighed as he strolled to the table to see the contents of the so called box that laid untouched on the table for hours he guessed.He came close to the table to see the contents of the box and that made his eyes big like saucers as he inhaled in surprise while his very ears could hear the hub dub beating of his heart.

"What in the world..."Louis was interrupted by Mr Arthur.

"Believe me I was shocked too when he showed me"I didn't even know what it was.I thought it was a mere vegetable or shrub,until he explained it to me"Mr Arthur said.

"But for you to know this plant and it's use without anyone explaining to you,then you are the one to extract the useful components"Mr Thomas added.

"Your son is a genius"Mr Thomas confirmed as he stared at his father.

Louis smiled at the compliment.Mr Thomas wouldn't have said that if he knew better.The magic plant which was said to have had the component for making the human cells not to age,was the excact same plant he saw with Olivia earlier that morning.He wanted to know if what they said about the plant was true,or it was just a hoax to swindle his dad of his money through an obnoxious investment.He never liked Mr Thomas.

"Is this the only plant available,am not too good in keeping plants."he said scratching his left eye brow.He always did that when he was confused.

"Don't worry about that,there are a lot of them are in my lab,some I planted in my own personal garden"Mr Thomas said happy that Louis was picking interest.

"Can I take it now if you don't mind?"Louis asked as he looked at the powerful plant again.

If he could extract it he would have to try it on a subject to see if the extract truely reduced the rate of skin cell ageing.

"Believe me I took 3 years to research for these so be careful with them "Mr Thomas said as he gave Louis some books scrolls and other essential documents needed to research on the magic plant.And there was internet too.

"That will do, you can be free to do your bidding now"Mr Arthur said as Mr Thomas shook him goodbye and left.

Louis happily carried the carton to his room not knowing the danger he was getting himself into.

Lya on the other hand,knew from the conversation that she overheard from the head maid and the guard was strange.So she went back to Louis room and some minutes later he came with a carton on his hands which he dropped close to the reading table.

"Hey love"he said as he dropped the carton.

She was startled and surprised by the way Louis had given her a pet name and nobody had ever called her Sophia once told her that if a boy ever gave her a nickname it meant the boy really liked her. Her name even sounded sweet as he called her with his deep Alto voice.

"Hey Louis you took long "she said relieved that he came back.

"I know I have some work headed my way"he said looking at his phone to check the time.

"It's almost evening come let me make some cupcakes for you"he said leaving the room.

"Cupcakes....?

You make cupcakes?"lya asked unsure of what she heard.

"surprised,they're even sweet but not up to your beauty"Louis teased as she was blushing as she followed him she didn't want him to look back so that he wouldn't see that she blushed.

When they got into the large kitchen with some maids there, immediately they saw Louis the master's son in the kitchen they quickly ran to his service.

"What do you need sir"Belinda said with her head bowed.She had angrily left for the kitchen after Theo still continued his advances on her, when she was faced with the most shocking scene of her life.The rich master's son was in the kitchen!She prayed for her job she hoped that he didn't get wind of her secret mission in that house, because she saw Mr Thomas, talking to him not too long ago.
