the last cry

Luz cried. No, Luz sobbed. She wailed. She choked on her own tears. She laid face down on her matress, and wailed.

She was hyperventilating, and shaking, and all she wanted was to go to sleep and never fucking wake up. She wanted this pain to pass. She coughed and sniffed. She cupped her mouth as she ran to the bathroom, eventually vomiting from how hard she had sobbed.

She sat agaisnt the bathroom wall, across from the toilet, tears still flowing. Less dramatic than before, but it still hurt. She calmed her breathing, and swallowed hard. She closer her eyes, and focused on calming herself down.

Luz found herself doing this a lot. Crying until she threw up. Maybe it wasn't healthy, but as we've learned, maybe is just a thought.

So maybe Luz Noceda will move on. Maybe she will find someone who has eyes that shimmer in the golden sun, or that dots their 'i's cutely.

Or maybe the white cat she finds one December evening sitting on Amity's gravestone will be enough.
