9.Birthday

Maya's pov

Time flies over us, but leaves its shadow behind.
It's crazy how fast time flies and how things progress.

Yes they are true words. Life is maye be long. But it is fast. Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years flies really quickly. They also bring changes in my life like others. One day you are in diaper next day you are grown, then you are married, then we become the one who change diapers.. Yes time flies really quickly. Not only life is changing also the people's emotions too..

Today is my birthday. Yes it's my birthday. I'm also a girl who love to receive gifts and wishes on my special day. As a princess of my dad he always made my birthday special. He used to arrange party in our house with close ones. My mommy also become a little more sweet upon me that day. Even after saying that I'm adopted in our every silly fights my brother gifts me something on my birthday.

After marriage, my birthdays never become boring. Arjun always make me feel special that day. Not only on birthday every day with him is special for me. But on this day he managed to do take more efforts which is adorable. He is the first one who wish me after our meeting. Even before we started dating.

When once my friend pooja wishes me first arjun is really pissed. That day his mood swings are worst that a period women's. He also made me promise that not to receive any calls or wishes unless he wishes.

But today my husband is not here. He went to a business meeting yesterday.he is not there for more days. He will come today. Currently I'm waiting for his wishes. I'm avoiding my friends call from today morning. Akshu also wishes me with her handmade card which she learned from YouTube for me. It's really sweet.

I don't think I can avoid others wished because now I'm heading to hospital as a emergency came. It's weekend but a doctor should be present every time.

After completing my work at hospital, I planned to go to home. I want to prepare something special for today. Maybe a dinner date. Arjun will come after the trip. I already informed nancy to prepare Arjuns favorites. I don't want to tell anymore that I'm getting avoided and hurted by his behavior, yes I'm but i think after today's dinner it will change.

Pooja and liya give me a visit, they made me cut the cake in hospital. I feel like a five year girl there. There friendship is a stress relief to me. They managed to bring smile to my face always. They are gossip queens. Liya told us about her crush on a new joined lecturer and pooja and i told her about our busy schedule. All i have this to discuss with them.

I'm really blessed to have great friends.

I reached my home and help Nancy in preparing lunch. After helping her for sometime I went to arjun's house for dropping akshu there with her grandparents. They demanded me her presence today near them as they are terribly missing her. But i know crooked mind of my mother in law. She knows that because of our busy in works we don't get so many time to spend each other.

Atleast I'm making some efforts, but it is really blank from the other side. So for removing all these distance between them I also granded her wish. This is not the first time we are dropping akshu here. Whenever they wishes or akshu Or I'm busy in some works I usually drop her here, so it's not a big deal.

Sometimes they bring the topic of another child in conversations. They wish to see a grandsom. But it is not that they pressurised us, they are the best in laws one could get. From the day of marriage they treated me as there own daughter they wish to have. Dad says mom always want a daughter. But she got two sons.

I said bye to them and left from there. I not failed to notice the wink given my mom too

I reached our home after that. I checked the food and head towards my room. I selected a red saree for today. Arjun loves to see me in saree. After my getting ready with minimal makeup I checked myself again. I'm not a big fan of makeup. I used to prefer a simple look more than extravagant. But akshu is a damn fan of makeup and heavy makeovers.

I reached downstairs and arrange food on table. I started waiting for him

Arjun messaged me that he reached here at noon. But it almost night. But there is not any trance of him. I called him but everytime it went as voice mail.

After waiting for hours I decided to call anjali.Later I dropped that idea. I'm getting angry . I'm ashamed of myself that everytime that I want to call someone to know about my husband where abouts. It's like I don't have any role in his life. It's like my existence didn't matter him.

It feels like he don't want me to know about him. Whatever it is, it become hell irritated. In fact he don't message me. He even don't wish me. It already 11pm. My birthday almost come to end. But the one I want to spend this day didn't even remind about this.

Maybe he is busy. But it didn't take his whole day to type a message and sent it. What is this? He is not ready to use that ten seconds for me.

Nancy leaved at evening itself. I packed the food. I decided to go to his office. I also want to know about what he is busy with that he don't bother about his wife.

After sometime I reached his office. As the wife of CEO everybody knows me here. Some employees are still working. They are trying to reach their deadlines. I headed towards Arjun's office. I opened the door using the passcode. What I see is.....
