"Aren't you going to log out yet, Wright?" Mike, their trainer asked as he passed by Wright's cubicle holding his headset and transparent tumbler in each hand.
Wright pressed the mute button on his headset before gesturing to his trainer that he still has a call.
"Alright, don't forget to log out of the CCMS (Call Center Management System) as well or you wouldn't be able to log in on your next shift," Mike said impassively before going on his way.
Wright flashed his trainer a thumbs-up sign before responding to the question his customer just asked.
"I can see here on my end that the process is already underway, John. No further action is needed from you at this point as your request is already being reviewed by the significant department even as we speak and they would reach out to you with an email as soon as they have come up with a resolution. With that being said, is there anything else I can help you with aside from this?" Wright said in an even tone despite his excitement to end his last call for his last shift for the week.
When the customer replied that there is nothing else they would need Wright's assistance with, the agent recited his closing spiel before ending the call and immediately changed his status to offline with a relieved sigh before proceeding to complete his documentation.
"Overtime again?" Gab, his former TL said as he sat on the empty swivel chair beside him.
"No, just finishing up my notes," Wright answered absently as he typed frantically on the keyboard.
"I thought you would be going on overtime today?" Gab said with a slightly teasing tone.
"I don't do overtime on my last shift for the week," Wright said in his signature deadpan tone.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. What do you plan to do on your Rest Day?" Gab leaned on his chair as he scooted closer to Wright who is still busy with his notes.
"Do the laundry, sleep, the usual," Wright answered impassively, slightly thankful that Joss went home earlier today and is not the one pestering him at the moment.
"Aww, don't you know how to rest, Wright?" Gab clicked his tongue in disapproval.
"Rest is for the single persons," Wright answered in a clipped tone as he made sure that his documentation is complete. He wouldn't want to get marked down by QA for insufficient notes.
