Wright just nodded in acknowledgment as he tried to make sense of the gibberish that his seemingly drunk customer is spouting on the other line.
"I understand your frustration, Blake but I need to know what happened before you got locked out of your account," Wright said patiently while typing furiously on the keyboard.
"You should see that on your end, you can see everything, can't you?"
"I can only see that your account is restricted but I need to know what you did before your account got locked," Wright said as he scrolled through the customer's account.
"Why does that matter? You were the one who locked my account so you can unlock it too! That's your fucking job!"
"Just to clarify, Blake; it was the automated system that locked your account. This happens when the system detects risk factors that could compromise your account's security. Did you try to access your account using a VPN?" Wright asked in an even tone even as he gripped the mouse tighter than usual.
"Pffft, you ask too many questions. Can you unlock my account or what?"
"Blake, before I can do that..." Wright began but the customer rudely cut him off.
"Can you unlock my account, yes or no?"
"I would need to know..." Wright tried to explain but the irate customer wouldn't have any of it.
"Then you can't help me. Go fuck yourself, asshole," The slurred words of the customer were the last thing Wright heard before the ominous beep that indicates that the caller ended the call. With a sigh of frustration, Wright grimly completed his documentation of the call's salient points as his status automatically changed to "After Call Work" when the call ended. After less than a minute, he posted his notes and closed all tabs connected to the call he just handled before changing his status to "TL coaching" and locking his computer by pressing the lock icon on the keyboard. He then trudged warily toward Joss's station at the end of the bay he is stationed at the moment.
Joss looked up with a beguiling smile as Wright approached. He pointed to an empty swivel chair with his palm and Wright sat in acquiescence.
"I think this would be the first time I will be coaching you, Wright," Joss pushed back his swivel chair so he can face the agent squarely.
"Yeah, I think so too, TL," Wright nodded politely, trying to keep his emotions in check. He still doesn't know how to deal with all the information about his superior but he doesn't want to jeopardize his job by acting rashly.
