"What the fuck!" Malcom spat, storming into the office with all the pistols plus Violet scattered around,
"What?" Sid blubbered, half asleep with his head in Violets lap,
"You ran from the press!" he accused, John and Violet,
"What's the big deal?" She complained,
"The- the big deal! I paid them to follow you around to take photos" he fumed, pinching the bridge of his nose,
"Pity" John rolled his eyes,
Malcom pointed a finger at them as if he was going to say something but ended up just storming out, muttering incoherent insults under his breath.
"He's gone bonkers" Paul sighed, tapping his drumsticks on the table,
"He was always bonkers" Sid chuckled to himself as Violet ran her fingers through his dark spiked hair soothingly,
John giving them a slight side eye at the affectionate action. Shifting uncomfortably in his seat.
"What's the time?" She hummed,
"Five" Steve answered,
"Shit!" She exclaimed jumping up,
"Oi" Sid complained grumpily,
"Where you going?" John baffled,
"Work" she stressed, grabbing her coat and bag,
"I'll drive ya" Steve offered,
"Oh cheers" she grinned as he slung his arm over her shoulder,
"In a bit" she waved as the pair left,
Johns knuckles turning a shade of violent white, glaring after them. John wasn't the jealous type and Violet had always been affectionate with the group which never used to bother him that much but now things were different. He didn't like the way Sid would casually have his head in her lap or Steve carelessly throwing an arm around her.
"What's with you?" Sid mumbled, scratching the back of his neck as he watched John,
"Nothing" John told him through gritted teeth,
"Then why'd you look like you're gonna murder someone" Paul inquired with a raised brow,
"Shut up!" He hissed,
Paul smirked, holding up his hands to show he meant no offence. And the subject wasn't brought up again.

"Two lovers entwined pass me by, and heaven knows I'm miserable now" Violet hummed along to a smiths song that had been stuck in her head since she'd woken up that morning,
"I was looking for a job and then I found a job, and heaven knows I'm miserable now" she continued, wiping down tables stained with beer and cigarette ash,
"That's not a nice thing to say about your work place" Oliver smirked standing not too far behind her,
Violet let out a huff as she carried on trying to ignore him but he took to standing too close to the point where she could feel his breathe on the back of her neck.
She coughed awkwardly trying to push past him "excuse me" but he didn't move "I said excuse me" she tried again, managing to shove past him this time,
Hurrying to the coat room to pick up her stuff, getting out of there as quick as possible.
"Pervert" she muttered, shoving open the door and stepping into the cool night air,
"Ello sis" said a voice through the darkness,
"Cole?" She questioned, now spotting him leaning on the hood of a red ford cortina,
"Is that yours?" She chuckled, pointing to it,
"Well ours, for now until we gotta ditch it somewhere" he grinned, hopping in "you coming?"
Violet bit back a small smile, knowing she couldn't resist a bit of a joy ride round London. So she jumped in too with a mischievous look in her eyes as he started revving the engine before taking off down the road, not another car in sight.
"What'd you think?" Cole shouted to her as the wind whistled through the open windows, whipping at their faces,
"She's impressive. What else can she do?" Violet challenged turning up the radio which was playing 'Saturday nights alright for fighting',
Cole changed gear as the car sped up, a round about approaching as they fell into a drift, both whooping and shouting as the adrenaline pulsed through their veins. Drifting around and around and around, the music blaring so loud it could burst their eardrums.
Past memories flashing through their heads of all the times they'd done this as kids, neither of them really realising how much they'd missed it until now.
Of course this didn't make up for any of his past wrong doings, but just for the night it was nice to pretend like they were still young again, no cares, no bad blood and no responsibilities holding them back.
Thank you all so much for 1k reads!!!!
