delia had been waiting for quinn's arrival to jamie and trevor's for awhile now. alex volunteered to pick quinn up from his hotel room and drive him over. the problem was that this was taking much longer than anticipated. they should have been at trevor and jamie's ten minutes ago at the latest.

"do you think turcs kidnapped quinn?" delia asked trevor and jamie. she was partially joking but also being quite serious.

"turcs? never. trevor, on the other hand, most likely," jamie joked.

trevor shrugged, "yeah, i probably would." jamie and trevor laughed.

delia rolled her eyes. "what's up with you guys anyways?" she asked trevor.

"it's all jokes. quinn and i just tease each other a lot. it all started when jack and i played together on the usa team and i would spend the summer with them," trevor explained. delia nodded her head and hoped he was being truthful when he said it was all jokes.

"hey guys! i think they're finally here!" jamie yelled as he looked out the window. trevor and delia joined jamie at the window.  a car had pulled in front of their place. one by one, alex and quinn got out of the car. the two headed towards the front door and that's when the trio moved away from the window.

before anyone could open the front door, alex did it himself. "huggy bear has entered the building," alex announced.

"huggy bear?" delia looked around the room confused. if that was quinn's nickname, jack had never told her.

quinn hit alex in the gut and said, "really, dude?" he then turned to delia and explained, "my teammates gave me that nickname and then these idiots decided to adopt it."

"you love us, don't lie to yourself," trevor stated as he gave quinn a hug. quinn rolled his eyes but then smiled as he hugged trevor back. jamie and delia stood there laughing at the sight of trevor and quinn.

alex eyed quinn and delia while saying, "quinn, you gonna give delia a hug or what?"

delia's eyes must have been playing a trick on her because she could have sworn that quinn was blushing. before she could even comprehend what was going, quinn pulled her in for a hug. startled at first, she soon reciprocated his hug. quinn's nickname definitely suited him.

they were still hugging when they heard a click sound come from across the room. the two jumped away from each other. quinn and delia's eyes stared daggers at trevor who clearly was the culprit. "shit!" he exclaimed before quickly putting his phone back in his pocket.

"trevor, you were supposed to be sneaky about that!" alex yelled at his best friend.

jamie added, "that's cole's fault for thinking trevor could ever be nonchalant."

"what does cole have to do with this?" delia questioned the three guilty boys.

"don't look at me, i had absolutely nothing to do with this," jamie put his hands up in surrender. he was smart enough to stay out of it.

trevor and alex, on the hand, we're pointing accusing fingers at one another and shouting at each other. quinn rolled his eyes and whispered in delia's ear, "now do you see why i'm not the biggest fan of jack's friends?"

delia giggled, "yeah, i'm starting to see it." quinn smiled at her and they were gazing into each other's eyes. her heart started to flutter. delia immediately did not like this feeling. this couldn't be happening.

delia coughed, "to their defense, i've never seen them like this. it must be because you're here."

"yeah, sure. we'll go with that," quinn rolled his eyes. they were getting dangerously close for delia's liking, but she didn't want it to stop at the same time.

trevor interrupted their moment, "lovebirds! how about you join the rest of us over here to watch a movie or something?"

during the time that quinn and delia had been standing around, the rest of the group had moved into the living area. how did delia not notice this? she blamed the hockey player standing next to her. her feelings were getting all bunched up and distracting her. this was not like delia at all.

quinn and delia had joined the group on the couches. jamie was scrolling through the tv to find something while trevor and alex were both typing away on their phones. of course, the three boys were all sitting together so delia and quinn had to sit right next to each other. they knew exactly what they were doing.

"oh, by the way, cole is very upset that he couldn't be here," alex shot his head up from his phone to tell the group.

"why couldn't cole be here instead of trevor?" quinn teased.

"you're lucky i told delia i would be on my best behavior," trevor fired back. quinn looked at delia for confirmation to which she nodded.

jamie asked the group, "does avengers endgame work for everyone?" jamie got a handful of responses that all translated to yes. he pressed play and the group settled.

"you know, you can lean on me if you want. the way you're sitting is making me uncomfortable," quinn quietly said to delia. she was in a very uncomfortable position. she didn't want to invade quinn's space so she opted to sitting as straight as possible.

delia asked, "are you sure that's okay?"

"yes, delia. this wouldn't be the first time anyways," quinn responded. he had a point. delia rested her head on quinn's shoulder just like she had that night in quinn's living room. she was starting to get deja vu.

"thanks!" delia softly spoke.

quinn looked down at the girl confused, "why are you thanking me?"

she looked up to meet his eyes and answered, "because you're here." quinn cracked a smile. he couldn't remember the last time he smiled this much.

all while this was happening, the three boys on the opposite end of the couch were watching. none of them were paying attention to the movie on the screen. instead, they were watching what they all believed to be a relationship unfolding right in front of them. they weren't going to stop it from happening. they all wanted delia happy and they saw that person was quinn.
