Avery POV

Honestly the day just flew by. My brothers coming to pick me up after school, and to say i've been talking about it all day would be an understatement

"Avery" Alex waves his hand infront of my face, "oh hi sorry" I nod tuning into the lunch tables conversation

A few minutes goes by with Connie talking about some dumb movie story from camp, i don't even know how she got back on the lunch table

"speaking of movies, Avery" Billy starts while looking at me, "my brother and our cousin are watching wild things tonight"

"cool" I say awkwardly, he only sits here cause his aunt is a lunch lady and doesn't give us food if we don't hang with him

"do you wanna be my date?" he asks as all the conversation on the table stops

"oh" i purse my lips awkwardly

"it's like really chill and everyone's bringing their gf's and I thought i'd shoot my shot yknow?" He continues as I look around for help

"actually, i've uh already watched it so.." I trail off looking down and playing with my food

"well you don't have to watch it the whole way through, if anything it helps cause we can go and hook-" Billy tries to instigate further until Dustin cuts in

"Actually, we were going to meet her brothers after school and staying at hers for dinner" Dustin nods as Brandt and Alex agree

"sorry Billy" I smile before getting up leave

everyone else stays in the cafeteria while i head to my locker to grab my books for my next class

i'm touching up my lipgloss when's the bell rings and I drop the tube of gloss from the sudden volume

Everyone starts flooding into the hallways as I bend down to pick it up

"Goddamn" I hear a familiar voice say as a stinging sensation spreads through my ass

I snap up and turn around, my lipgloss being long forgotten

"What the fuck?" I say seeing Billy there with his hands raised and a cocky smirk on his lips

"ay, I was just giving you a peek at what we could be doin tonight" He shrugs

I'm about to yell at him when Dustin comes surfing through the now large crowd, as Alex and Brandt try calm him down

"who the fuck do you think you are?!" Dustin yells as he shoves Billy into the lockers

Dustin continues yelling at Billy while occasionally delivering punches to his stomach

No teachers have come yet as we're on the far side of school and the closest working classroom is 2 hallways away

"Yo, let's go Avery" Alex said while tugging my arm away from Dustin and Brandt, who were still tormenting Billy. They were delivering consistent punches, knees and kicks

"what about Billy?" I ask as Alex drags me away from the crowd

"what about billy? he slapped your ass, arent girls big on sexual assault consequences?" Alex rolls his eyes as we get to his locker

"He barely did anything" I look down conflicted

"he touched you Avery" Alex looks at me with lowered brows

"yeah i guess" I swallow back any arguments, realising i don't want to be right I just want this conversation to be over

"let's go, we have art" Alex says while holding his hand out
