"Avery come on! we auditioned together, atleast one of us will be in the show" Jess urges, dragging me down the hall

"I only did it cause you were too chicken to audition by yourself" I roll my eyes and Jess pushes her nails into my hand while continuing to drag me

"Move! Move!" Jess pushes through the other people looking at the bulletin board

"Yes! We got it!" She yells, a big grin on her face

"both of us?" I smile back, it's hard not to seeing her this happy

"the three of us actually" I hear a familiar voice say over my shoulder

"I got Windsor" Alex smirks as I turn to him

"As in the anger issues guy?" I laugh as Alex rolls his eyes

"didn't take you for a theatre kid" I shrug while going to look on the list

"Nancy? All these names are so basic" I laugh before getting pushes aside by Anna and Maya

Maya has two bandages on her left cheek and a swollen eye on the other side of her face

I smirk lightly before turning to where Alex and Jess are looking

"Hey fellow cast members" Ian grins while waving his script

"Hey Timothy" I wiggle my brows

Ian begins to go on about all the things he's gonna do in prep for the role while we just nod, he's always been more passionate in theatre then us

"Oh and here's the leads" Jess motions Maya to come over as my smile falters

"I'm gonna go grab some lunch" I nod before walking away quickly

I'm walking by myself for about a second before I hear Alex calling out for me

"Avery wait up!" I sigh and pause for him

he has such long legs but he can't catch up to me in an empty hallway?

"What happened? why'd you leave?" Alex catches up to me as I stand against one of the lockers

"Nothing" I shrug as he scoffs and Leans on the locker next to me

"i'm serious Aves, did maya do something? is it gabe?" Alex pushes as I shrug again

"I'll ask becca if you won't tell me" He threatens as I roll my eyes

"I'm the reason Mayas face is all puffy and shit" I say as Alex's eyebrows lower

"Why?" he trails off

"she said some stuff about me, and you, and dustin and literally every other guy I hang out with" I sigh as he laughs

"and you let it get to you? Avery, half the people you hang out with are guys" Alex chuckles as I glare at him

"She called me a slut! Look if your just gonna criticise me on something you weren't even there to see i don't know what to tell you" I scoff before standing up off the locker and walking to the cafeteria

I hear him yell behind me, but the faster I walk the fatser his voice goes away

Eventually i end up in the cafeteria, walking towards the table everyone else is sat around
