Chapter 7: Ryu and the Hybrid

Danny nearly jumped out of his bed in excitement. What he was currently seeing was a sight to behold. The 20 million valis sure was fine and the B rank sword meant he'd travel to the middle floors with it but........An Elixir?! The very same object that was out of his reach the previous day can now be attained.....and two of them no less. But unfortunately this was Arthur giving the rewards, there's got to be some scheme in place especially with the great representation and perks the elixir had. It was too good to be true. Danny spared no time to look at the Elixir description hoping he was wrong.

Elixir: Small (Rank A)

A liquid of unknown and mysterious origin that's bursting with life energy! Arthur has given it to Danny boy in the hopes that it will aid in him and his friends in their Dungeon adventures! It works by simultaneously healing one's depleted mind, mana and physical health even to the point of healing lost limbs to an extent.

A small Elixir has a total of 10 drops within the bottle that are capable of doing their jobs on their own but are stackable.

CAUTION: rapid use of an Elixir i.e drinking one too many drops in one sitting can cause 'mana burst', 'insanity' and gene deterioration. Please use responsibly ;⁠)

'I see, interesting.....' Danny thought scratching his chin. 'I don't think I can use this for farming like I thought I would but at least it's better than nothing'

Danny sighed and got ready to head out. He wore his usual t-shirt, trousers sash and sandals this time keeping his new sword out of his inventory. He got out of the Inn and went for the abandoned church to get his status updated.

*Time skip

"Alright I'll be starting now" Hestia got a knife and pricked her finger and applied her blood on Danny's back.

"Sure" Danny said.

"You know I have to work in the morning right? Couldn't you wait to get your status checked in the evening?" Hestia said annoyed by Danny's early visit.

"Don't try to lie to me hestia, Bell already told me your sleeping times" Danny smirked.

"Guh!" Hestia flinched.

"Your shift starts in 2 hours so it's plenty of time. Just continue updating my status and cope with your defeat" Danny laughed mocking the goddess.

"Mmm! But my beauty sleep!" Hestia exclaimed. "Fine but just- WHAT!!!?!!" Hestia shouted in surprise.

"What is it now Kami-san?" Danny closed his ears in annoyance.

"W-why are your stats so high!?" Hestia exclaimed.

"Why not? That's the real question" Danny responded nonchalantly.

"I'm serious Danny! Simple dungeon raids won't boost your stats this high especially considering you've only been here for about a week!" Hestia
Said in disbelief.

"Well I did fight a minotaur yesterday so it was sort of inevitable" Danny said.

"As much as that would help, I still can't believe such a boost can even happen. Don't tell me you've been going to lower floors" Hestia exclaimed worrying about Danny's safety.

"Calm down Kami-san, I've only been raiding the sixth floors. I've been going there everyday since I got here after all. I think my current status shouldn't warrant any surprise" Danny explained. Although what he said was true, Danny still left out the part about the dungeon spawning more Monsters for him than normal. He felt like revealing that would open a whole can of worms that he did not wanna sink into just yet.
