[A/N: Sorry about the recent chapters being so short and inconsistent updates! I've been adjusting to a lot with getting used to my job and my school burning down. I'm online now so hopefully I'll be able to write and update more! That's all ^-^ Enjoy the chapter!]

"Is this really necessary?" Grian asked, looking down sheepishly.

"How else am I meant to sneak you out of here? Now c'mon!" Scar replied, holding Grian's hand tightly.

Grian was holding Scar's left hand with his right, being dragged down the hallway of the HEP headquarters. He was wearing Scar's purple robe as a bit of a cloak to hide his appearance, which left Scar with his sweatpants. Grian looked down as they walked, trying to look at the floor and not at Scar's shirtless body. He wasn't even sure why they had to hide Grian to get him out of the headquarters since it seemed like Keralis was the only one there.

"I think we're home free, Grian," Scar said confidently.

Grian lifted his head, seeing the dark night sky with twinkling stars overhead. They were at the edge of the Shopping District by then, just barely far enough from the shore for the waves to not splash them. He looked up at the moon looming high in the sky as he took in fresh air after feeling like he never would again.

"Your eyes kinda sparkle with the stars, don't they?" Turning his head quickly, Grian looked over at Scar, looking up at his satisfied smile. Scar looked down at Grian, his face suddenly flushing. "Oh! I didn't mean to say that out loud! L- Let's get going!" He nearly took a step forward before remembering they were still at the edge of the island. "Uhhh..." Scar tried to conjure a solution up quickly. "I don't have an extra elytra. Could you just hold onto me?"

Grian's eyes widened slightly, looking side to side in thought. "Sure, whatever. I just wanna get off of this stupid island." He awkwardly koala-hugged Scar, leaning his head on Scar's shoulder.

Scar gazed down at Grian endearingly before taking off, shooting into the inky sky. The wind blew Scar's hair around and he tried to move it out of his face as best he could while still holding onto Grian. He wasn't sure exactly where he wanted to go, but he knew the best place to be would be his village. At least it had a thick canopy and peaceful atmosphere, which might help the both of them calm down.

Upon reaching the village, he gracefully flew down through the trees, landing as softly as he could on a large patch of grass. Scar set Grian down and Grian kept trying to avoid looking at him. "So, uhh, what's the plan for now?"

Scar put his hand to his face in thought, running his thumb under his lip. "I was hoping that maybe being in an area with more plants and stuff would help you a little since you have the whole mushroom thing going on. Plus, it's pretty peaceful here in general. I'm not sure, though. I didn't plan ahead for this." He scratched the back of his head, looking down at Grian, who was still looking at the ground.

Grian sighed. "I guess I should've known you didn't have an elaborate plan when you said you were gonna do something crazy. Though, I didn't think that something crazy would be breaking me out of jail."

"No! No! Not breaking! I just... slipped you out of there. Nothing got broken!"

Grian chuckled under his breath, soft enough that Scar didn't notice. "Even if you word it differently, you still helped me." Grian paused, hesitantly looking up at Scar with a half-smile. "Thanks for that..." There was an awkward moment of silence where neither really had anything to say, not sure of what to do. Grian spoke up eventually, saying, "I'm kinda tired. The whole mushroom thing has been making it hard to sleep."

Scar quickly perked up at Grian's words. "Oh! I'm sure there's somewhere around here where you could find a room and sleep." He wanted to be helpful, but he was just as tired. His drowsy brain could barely think.
