PSAT SOS
_______☕️_______
WHILST their mother had gone ahead to Luke's, desperate for her morning fix of coffee, the Gilmore twins waited outside their house with Rory impatiently pacing in the front yard as Hayden sat on the porch steps, chin resting in her palms. She watched her sister continue to pace and sighed at the anxiety billowing off her in waves "Rory, it's going to be fine."
"Fine?" Rory stopped dead, turning to her in disbelief "How is me failing the PSAT's fine?"
Hayden rolled her eyes "You haven't failed. When have you ever failed?"
"Uh, hello? Our Shakespeare test, first semester, remember?" Rory scoffed.
Her sister sent her a look "You mean when you hit a deer--"
"The deer hit me." Rory corrected briskly.
Hayden groaned in frustration "My point is, that was only because you didn't even take the test. You aced it the next day. Just like you'll have aced the PSATs." Not like me, Hayden added silently with a sigh.
Rory opened her mouth to argue further when the unsuspecting post-man made his way up the lane, bag slung over his shoulder. The eldest Gilmore twins eyes widened before she was rushing forward "Anything for Rory? Rory Gilmore?" When the man fished out the specific envelope, Rory snatched it right from his hands "Hayden, come on!"
Hayden groaned before getting to her feet, stopping in front of the bemused man and reluctantly held out her hand for her own envelope "Thanks."

IT didn't take long for Hayden to catch up with Rory on account of her sister's severe lack of athleticism and general coordination, but as they made their way into Luke's, only one of them was eager to join their mother.
"We got them!" Rory beamed as she slipped into her seat, Hayden doing the same silently.
Lorelai perked up "You did?"
