September 1912
Anastasia and Olga taught me to dance, Anastasia would act as the male. The captain of the boat said we'll be in England soon. "Okay! Again! 123, 123." Olga announced and looked at my feet as I danced with Anastasia, I accidentally took a wrong step. "No! Astrid you let the males lead, Anastasia is being the male! She leads!" Olga sounded pissed but got distracted by her crush and I ran for it. I ran and found Malcolm. Cian and Kitty were skating around.
Malcolm and I speed walked up the docks and looked out for land. "Anything new?" He asked, I shook my head. "Olga and Anastasia are attempting to show me to dance. But Olga has such a short Temper it's so boring!" I complained, he giggled. "I've been helping around." He said. "More fun then dancing." I said, he laughed. Then we went silent.
"I can't wait to get off, I feel sick." I said. He laughed at me. "Many would kill to be on something like this." I was about to reply when I heard Anastasia. "Astrid!" She yelled out, I ran over waving my arms, Olga angrily walked to me. "Astrid Nikolaevna! You scared me." She scolded. Anastasia decided we'd dance again.
"Okay, remember left foot to right not left." She said and we danced, I finally mastered it after failing. I saw the land of Great Britain approaching. "England!" Maria smiled. She pointed her pointer finger, the soldiers guarding them ran after them, Kiki looked over. "Don't go too close or you'll fall." Cian warned.
We soon got to the docks and there were English servants. "English only." Olga said, I nodded. I learnt English. I looked at her and saw she was looking at her mama for approval. The Tsarina nodded and then went back to her cold appearance. Finally, off this yacht.
We waited a bit for the ship to dock, the grand duchesses and I ran to get our personal items packed before the servants could take them away. I really didn't take too much things out, just the thing I was sewing and a book. I walked out to the dock until the Tsarina's lady in waiting, Anna, pulled me back towards the inside. "Astra, please wait inside. The guards must check for any activity and there are things to be unloaded. Wait with your sisters." She told me. I groaned.
They were giggling and talking. Anastasia had a smirk on her face. "You must be excited, Mashka." Anastasia teased and did kissing noises as she was shoved by a red Maria. They all turned serious when they saw me, geez. Am I really a mob of sadness? I walked outside frowning. They seemed to notice my sadness.
"Aren't you excited, we are leaving the palace." Maria smiled at me. I shrugged. "I don't know." I replied, it was true. I really didn't know. Maria looked at me. "You'll be fine star." She smiled at me. A lady in waiting came in. "The tsarina has called for you." We went and followed her to the Tsarina's room. There were five dresses laid out, all matching. "Get dressed my dears, we must look presentable for George and his family." She ordered.
The dresses were plain white followed by a light coat to keep us warm, it was raining rather heavy but that's just English weather. I had my hair done and was helped by the ladies in waiting (see end for hair) the Tsar and Tsarina waited for us with Alexei surrounded by ladies in waiting. We joined them and lined up in order. First went the Tsar, Tsarina, Alexei and his caretaker, Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Me, Anastasia, Cian and Kiki and a bunch of ladies in waiting surrounded us.
There were two carriages and multiple cars, the first for the family and the second for the people working for them. Kiki and Cian both went on the people working for them one. The Tsar greeted people and we were off to the palace.
