16. Hold me...please

Jess' POV*

Hayes carries me out the door. I hear Matt say a quick "wait!" But the door was shut my Nash too quick.

I nuzzled my head farther into Hayes chest feeling a pang of comfort. But deep inside I wish it was Matt. We have been distanced lately and I hated it.

I hated to have my big brother way from me. I hate the way he has been treating me. I mean why can't he love me like before?

Tears began to slowly run down my face, Hayes noticing my distress, stopped walking and looked down at me.

"Hey...it's ok..." He cood, wiping away my tears, I nodded, and Hayes and me enter the car, while Nash got in the passenger seat.

We got to the apartment and it was really big. It had two floors and a very pretty kitchen. Hayes told me Cam also lived here, he was Cam's roommate.

Hayes carried me upstairs to his bedroom and placed me gently onto his bed.

"You want to watch a movie and eat some popcorn?" He asked grabbing for the door.

"Yea thanks Hayes." I answered sweetly.

"Ok be right back."

"Love you." I whispered so low only I could hear.

"What?" I heard Hayes' voice say.

"N-nothing Hayes!" I yelled back.

Wow that was close.

Hayes' POV*

If I heard right, she said I love you. I breathed in and out trying to contain myself from just barging in her room and make out with her right now.

Calm your hormones Grier....

I went down stairs and grabbed the popcorn back and pulling it in the microwave waiting for it to make itself.

When it was done I grabbed the big Coke bottle in the fridge and went upstairs.

She was peacefully laying in the spot I left her in. Except she had one of my pillows under her head at an angle that she was basically hugging it.

I wish that was me...

"I got za popcorn and ze drinks!" I said.

She adjusted her self to look up at me and smiled. Sitting up now.

I went over to Netflix, and turned something scary on. Muahahahaha. I have a plan.

Jess' POV*

Should I tell him that I hate scary movies? Nah. He's enjoying this way to much. But I will get scared shitless...

Oh god.

He came back, and I could notice the light devilish glint in his baby blue eyes. The smirk evident in his face.

He sits on the bed with me, but then going to the back, stealing the pillow my head was on and putting it back, then laying against one of them.

I whined but then went to where he was and laid right next to him.

The movie began and I may have...oh I don't know hid my self in Hayes' shoulder...multiple times.

He just looked down at me with a smirk. He wrapped his strong arms around my frail small frame and hugged me close.

When the movie was over he just laughed at me but then, it all changed.

"Ugh...Jess I have to ask you something." He said nervously, his whole mood changing.

"Yeah Hayes?" I said flipping my long loose brunet hair to the side. His eyes on me the entire time.

"I know I've known you for just a small amount of time....and that your two years younger than me, but that doesn't matter. Your an amazing girl, and by far the funniest, and cutest girl I have ever met." He said, I could see the small sweat droplets oh his forehead.

"Could you please do me the joy of being my girlfriend?" He asked finally.

I thought for a minute. And thought of payback for making watch a scary movie

"No." I said and his face dropped.

"Problem I would love to be your girlfriend. Yes I love you Hayes I would love to be your girlfriend." I finished and his face lit up again.

I walked over to him and hooked my arms around his tall shoulders and stood up on my tippy toes and connected my lips with his.

I looked down on my iPad and smiled at the text from my absolute best friend. Since Matt decided to break and kill my iPhone...

After....Shayla passed away it was so hard to keep focus on my life, well Tailah was just always there for me. Our connection grew and she was defiantly the one to take the label as best friend.

I was in the guys' kitchen, sitting at the table, sipping the Starbucks Nash got me for breakfast. He is such a sweet guy.

My iPad beeped and I looked down to see it was a text message from Tailah.

Tailah- wanna hang out today, we can go out to Starbucks or where you want to go.

I replied with:

Me- yeah, hold on I will meet you at the soccer fields if that's ok. We can talk there I have news to tell you.

And then locked my iPad. Good thing I had it with me. I was so exited I was going to see Tailah again! She may seem like the shy-est girl you ever meet, but once you get to know her she is the most competitive person... Who new nerdy girls loved sports!?

I walked upstairs to get ready when I was stopped by Hayes.

"Morning." He said in a hot morning voice. Hey, just cuz I'm twelve means nothing!

"Morning." I said back and went in for a hug he gladly excepted.

He kissed my forehead, but as soon as he hugged me I felt the warmth of his shirtless torso and chest. Didn't notice he was shirtless until now.

Even hotter.

"What are you doing today?" He asked still in our embrace as he looked down at me.

"Me and my best friend Tailah where planning on hanging out today." I explained.

"Um, can Nash drive me?" I quickly added.

"Yeah sure babe." He replied, giving me another kiss to the forehead.

"Thanks Hayes!" I said giving him a squeez then going to my room to get ready for the day that yet awaits.

Hayes is the sweetest guy... Why didn't I date him sooner!?
