21. Just a friend huh?

Jess's POV*

Matt eventually came to the school. I was waiting outside of the office, sitting in a cold blue chair.

Matt came out with a grim expression on his face.

"What?" I asked trying to get some sort of reaction or comment out of him. Is he really that mad at me. I mean he just heard the principles version of the story.

Which is the 3 girls story. No wonder he's mad. But all will be resolved once I tell him the truth. Right?

He gave me a death glare.

"Your coming home now." He said, as he started walking towards the exit, which was a big red gate which is be opened.

"Isn't that why you came and picked me up?" I said I a "duh" voice, I didn't even have time to process what I was going to say, it just came out. Maybe I should be so sassy right now.

He stopped and turned around. His gaze was now very dark. Anger took over his features.

"You can't speak to me this way! First you go off beating up innocent girls and now your disrespecting me?! No, I don't think so, your not allowed to see Hayes. And the rest of the guys. You will now do the dishes ALWAYS and you can't come out of your room, only to use the restroom and eat. YOUR GROUNDED!" He barked.

"WHAT THE PRINCIPLE TOLD YOU WAS A LIE!" I blurted out.

"NO, you just don't want to get in trouble." He muttered angrily.

"No, I swear, just ask Hay-" I go cut off by him when he took my wrist into his hand.

I fiddled to get free, trying to wriggle away, but he just kept his grip on me.

He brought me closer to his chest his face so close to mine I could feel his breathing.

"Go to the car. NOW!" He
screamed.

I quickly got out of his grip and ran to the car, away from Matt. He may be my brother but right now he was scarring the shit out of me. I thought of a way to get a way from him, so he could get his chance to cool down.

I pulled out my ipad from my backpack and started to right a new iMessage to Tailah.

To:
Tailah😎

"My brothers pissed at me for fighting this girl at school, can I head to your place later?"

I typed on my screen so hard you can hear my fingers thumping loudly on the screan. I put it back into my backpack before Matt gets another motivation to yell at me.

'good thing I was still connected to the school wi-fi' I thought, asI heard Matt approaching the car while I heard the loud clicks of the car keys, unlocking the car.

I opened the car door, silently hoping that when Matt got in here with me too, he wouldn't start another aggressive conversation.

The ride home was very awkward and silent. All you could hear where the sounds of Matt's annoyed and angry breaths. AS he gripped the steering wheel so hard his knuckles turned white.

I got to Matt's house and I went straight up to my room. Regaining my wifi.

Tailah didn't reply, and time was at the essence. Plan B.

I got out my iPad and texted Hayes

To:
Haaaz😍

"So I'm grounded...wanna sneak out? We could go down to the park!"

I waisted impatiently for his response. Just staring at the iPad. The little chat bubble was there, letting me know that he was texting back.

From:
Haaaz😍

"Sorry babe, hanging out with Mel, maybe tomorrow. And what did you do!!!! xxx 😧😢😓"

I instantly froze when my eyes read the words "Mel". My grip on the iPad became tighter as I thought of what to respond back.

Maybe a "who the fuck is this chic" nah... Maybe that's too...aggressive?

My fingertips tapped quickly into the screen, trying to not make any noise because of my long nails, so Matt wouldn't break my door to get the iPad away from me.

To:
Haaaz😍

"...remember...what happened at lunch.. And who's this "Mel" ?😕"

I finally settle with writing a lighter version of my original text.

I change out of my uniform and into some short; short volleyball shorts and a grey v-neck shirt, letting my hair out of its pony tail.

I then return to my iPad as I heard it buzz, from the other side of my room.

As I walk up to it, I see a new message from Hayes was lighting up my lock screen.

"She's just a friend."

With the attachment of a selfie he took with her. His arm around her shoulders bringing her closer to him. He was smiling normally but the girl he was hanging out with wasn't dressed like any normal "friend"  of his.

She was wearing a crop top that looked like a sports bra. And you could see the beginning of her high waisted shorts.

Her face was CAKED in make up and she was making a kissy face towards Hayes cheek. Her long brunet hair slung over her shoulder.

She was pushing up her large chest against Hayes'.  Trying to make her boobs look even bigger.

My eyes I stanly squinted as my jaw clenched and my mouth slightly gaped.

Just a "friend" huh.

OMG sorry it took me forever to get this chapter up! It deleted ur self like freaking 3 times. Ugh the struggles sometimes.

And yay! School has started so that will be WAY  dinner and a better thing to waste my time in.

Lol I will go back to writing each Moreno ha on the bus so be prepared to have more updates (hopefully)
