Chapter 5: Ow,Busted!

Kai walked into his apartment, finally dropping out of his Super Saiyan state. He let out a long sigh, still processing everything that had happened earlier.

"Huh, and to think that was just my first day here," he said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Guess I'm really good at keeping a low profile in this place," he chuckled to himself, finding humor in the situation.

"It's not like I meant for any of this to happen. Man, I'm so hungry right now." His stomach growled loudly in agreement, reminding him just how empty it felt.

"Let's see what I can whip up here," He enters the apartment, taking his capsule box. He takes a capsule and throws it into an empty space.

The capsule exploded, leaving a trace of pink smoke as it was replaced by a big refrigerator.

"Woah, Mom really packed this fridge with everything." Kai sweated at the sight of his food supply.

"I should take a bath first." Kai went to his bedroom, taking off his glasses and getting his towel before entering the bathroom.

The sound of water squealing could be heard in the bathroom. Kai is taking a shower as he thinks about the apartment.

"Well, this place is better than I had imagined." He said to himself.

"Oh yeah, my neighbour.......She hasn't told me her name yet. Maybe I should pay a visit after dinner." He makes a mental note as he finishes taking a bath.

As soon as he finished putting on his clothes and spectacles, he went to the kitchen and started to cook.

After he finished cooking, he settled down in his living room to eat while checking his phone.

His phone, created by Bulma six years ago, was a unique piece of technology that allowed him to connect with this world's systems. With the help of his mother, Bulma had been able to complete the design, and it had become an essential tool for him.

As he scrolled through social media, he came across posts about Ai Hoshino. It was through this platform that he learned about her and quickly became a fan, keeping tabs on her news and updates.

The New Hero

Earlier that evening, a robbery had taken place at a bank in Tokyo. Six armed men, including a sniper, had attempted to execute their plan. Fortunately, they were thwarted by an anonymous hero known only as "Gaia."

Reports described a man with strange powers who fought against criminals using abilities such as flying and telekinesis....

"Woah, I'm on the news now..." Kai exclaimed, unable to believe his eyes as he scrolled through his phone. The headlines flashed across the screen, detailing the events of the evening and his unexpected role in stopping the robbery.

His heart raced with a mix of excitement and disbelief. "Why do I care though? he thought, shaking his head slightly. It's not like I'm going to be a Great Saiyaman.". The very idea of him donning a Great Saiyaman outfit made him chuckle at the absurdity of it all. He could already picture himself in the flamboyant costume, complete with the silly helmet and cape. It was a comical image that didn’t quite match his personality.

As he continued to read through the articles, he felt a sense of pride swell within him for having made a difference, even if it was just for a moment. But that pride quickly faded as he glanced at the clock on the wall. "Gosh, it's past eight PM now; I should really get going," he muttered to himself.
