Chapter 29: Special / Worst Day

-Ryousuke's Med Room-

"What had I done... The fan questioned himself. He had been awake for a week since Kai's sudden visit. He began to regret all his past actions.

"You killed an innocent person."

"You deserved more than death!"

"I'm pathetic.... I almost killed Ai....." He cried after reminiscing about that fateful day.

"Even now, I want to love you."

"I was happy when I got that star-sand present from you as a present. I've still got it displayed in my living room."

"Why...? Even though I stabbed her...." Ryousuke looked at the ceiling. He hoped that one day he could ask for Ai's forgiveness. Even though he will be sent to prison after his broken ribs are healed.

Suddenly, a loud creak came from the door, revealing a doctor and a nurse,who were pushing a trolley. Ryousuke wiped his tears quickly as the pair walked to him.

"Hello, Mr. Ryousuke. I'm Dr. Aizawa, the one in charge of taking care of your injuries. Based on the X-ray, most of your ribs....."

Ryousuke looked at the brown-haired doctor with dark black eyes. The doctor's appearance reminded him of the man he had killed years ago, causing his head to tilt downward in shame.

"...So that's all. Your recovery is still far ahead; at least in three months. Is that clear? Sir?" Ryousuke snapped out of his thoughts and nodded.

"Good, so here's your meal. And don't forget your medicine. They will surely help to end your pain!" Dr. Aizawa grinned excitedly. Ryousuke felt a creeping discomfort as the nurse served him a normal meal with a tablet of painkillers beside it.

"Gosh, I need to go to the toilet now. See you later, sir! Ah, I doubt that..." The doctor mumbled the last sentence under his breath as he left. Ryousuke looked at the nurse in disbelief.

"That doctor... is giving me a bad vibe." The nurse shared his unease and excused herself as Ryousuke stared at the food.

"It's probably nothing..." he muttered before starting to eat slowly.

Meanwhile, in the restroom, Dr. Aizawa looked into the mirror and began to remove the brown wig from his head, revealing blond hair underneath. He then took out his contact lenses, exposing beautiful blue eyes with stars in them.

"Ah, well, I don't intend to kill him. But plans can change," he said with a chuckle. Hikaru changed into different clothes and donned sunglasses before leaving the hospital.

-Kai's Gravity Chamber-

Whoosh!

Kai threw a punch in the air, then continued with a barrage of kicks and punches. He was shadow boxing at five times normal gravity. Well, he can go higher if he wants to..... but,

"Hah, hah... it's hard to... move around... like this!" Aqua gasped, his body slick with sweat. He struggled to keep up, eventually dropping to the ground, panting heavily. Kai glanced over and chuckled.

"You'll get used to it, Aqua. Training here is a fast way to grow. Besides, I didn't expect you to handle five times normal gravity! I thought your limit was three or two..." Aqua shot him an annoyed look as he attempted to stand.

Just then, Ai's voice rang out from the kitchen. "Breakfast ready!" Kai promptly closed the gravity chamber, and Aqua felt the weight of his body return to normal.
