Chapter 9: Coincidence

"Ai-chan, do you want to grab lunch with us at the cafeteria?" Meimei asked Ai, who was wiping her sweat.

Meimei is one of B-Komachi's members. Along with her are Ari, Kyun, Takamine, Nino, and Watanabe.

"Sure, I'd love to." She agreed to grab a bite with them.

As they went out to the cafetaria, Ai saw someone familiar outside President Saitou's office. A bright, innocent messy hair like a sea-urchin that makes him stands out from the rest, scrolling his phone as he walks.

"Kai? What is he doing here?" she thought as Kai also notice her Ki signature.

"Ai-san?" Kai let out a surpised face, drawing the rest of the group's attention to him.

"Hey Ai-chan, Do you know this guy?" Kyun asked Ai, who nodded in response. Well, she needed to come up with a lie now.

"Yeah! He's my.... friend," Ai said it nonchalantly as the rest stared at Kai, who looked back at the girls, confused of the situation. Seeing every single face of the girls, his mind clicked instaneously.

"Wait, you all are the members of the famous idol group, B-Komachi!" Kai remembered why the name Strawberry Productions sounds familiar. This is the company that manages this popular group that he adores so much!

"My name is Kai Ross. Nice to meet you! I'm a huge fan!" Kai bowed while smiling gleefully, getting the unexpected chance to meet them.

"This guy is so cute."

"I wonder if he has a girlfriend already...."

"Ai-chan, you sure hit the jackpot."

Kai, who was listening, frozen in place. His mouth are twitching nervously, seeing all eyes on him.

"C-Can I have a minute with Ai-san? A-aha...." Kai gave a slight nervous smile as he ruffled his messy hair. They nodded as they gave the two some space to talk.

"Ai-san, who's taking care of the twins?" Kai whispered to her, curious about the twins. After all, Ai is heee, so who could possibly babysit them if she was keeping the twins a secret from the public?

Noticing his curious gaze, she anwered with a low voice, "Mrs. Saitou is taking care of them. They are fine with her," She then showing a thumbs up to him.

"Oooohhh, makes sense! The president and his wife knew about them, huh. How about your friends?" Kai asked her, but she denied and told him that they didn't know. So, as per to their agreement, Kai wouldn't tell any souls about Ai's children.

Kai nodded as he made the ring gesture as he smiles in assurance, "Alright, I know."

Then, Ai went to ask him what he was doing here, which Kai explained to her with a nervous laugh.

"I'm trying to become an actor... I thought I can spend my time doing that." Kai told her as he showed Taishi's bussiness card to her.

"What did he mean by spending time? Isn't that counts as a work? He said that like he's trying to find a hobby..." Ai looked at him curiously, questions filling her mind but she pushed it all to the drain.

"Then, I wish you good luck!" she smiled as she gave a thumbs up. Kai grinned happily at her positive response.

After they finished talking, Kai was going to leave the place but Watanabe stopped him, "Wait a minuteee, you're going home now?"

Kai tilted his head before saying, "Yeah, I don't think I've got anything else to do. Why?" He hoped that she won't be stopping him though, as much as he like meeting his idol group, he got matters to settle first. Like eating. He wanted to go to that new restaurant to satisfy his hunger now.
