Chapter 35: God Mission

-Time Nest-

It was a mess. Everything. Ruby could only watch as different squads of Time Patrols used Time Machines to travel across parallel universes, desperately trying to fix the damage-damage caused by Kai.

"I didn't think it would be this bad..." Chronoa admitted to Ai and the twins. She quickly called for Trunks and Ace, who were busy directing the rest of the Time Patrols to correct history at Conton City. After a few minutes, the two returned to the Time Nest.

"Are you guys done?" the pink Kaioshin asked. Both nodded.

"Everything's under control for now. But we need to find Kai," Chronoa said.

"I say we stick to the original plan: find Bardock first, then track down Towa and Mira," Trunks suggested. Chronoa nodded in agreement.

"Here-this is the point in time where Bardock vanished during the destruction of Planet Vegeta." Trunks thanked her, then told Ace they'd head out immediately.

Before leaving, Trunks noticed Ai, Aqua, and Ruby. His eyes lingered on Ruby, who sat gloomily on the floor. Concerned, he crouched to her level.

"Are you okay, Ruby?" he asked gently. The girl looked up, sadness written across her face. The sight reminded Trunks of his own timeline, after the androids' attack.

"Please... bring Mr. Kai back. Could you do that, Mr. Trunks?" Ruby pleaded, her voice trembling. Trunks nodded without hesitation, offering her a reassuring smile as he stood.

"I'll do it, no matter what it takes. After all, he's my little brother," Trunks promised, patting her head. He exchanged a glance with Ai, who silently pleaded the same. He nodded to her, then turned to Ace, who was speaking with Chronoa.

"Use it only when necessary," Chronoa said, handing Ace an item. Ace pocketed it and nodded to Trunks.

"Let's head out."

On Planet Vegeta, Frieza, the self-proclaimed emperor of the universe, charged a massive Ki ball on his fingertip and hurled it at the planet.

Bardock, making his final stand, could only watch in horror as the energy sphere barreled toward him.

"Uwaaaaah!!" he screamed as the Ki ball engulfed him-only for a sudden wormhole to appear, swallowing the battered Saiyan before vanishing.

A moment later, a teleportation sound echoed. Towa and Mira appeared, nodded to each other, and flew off to an unknown destination, unaware that Trunks and Ace were following close behind.

Trunks and Ace looked around warily. Trunks tried to piece things together.

"It looks like they used a wormhole to capture Bardock. But what is this place? It looks like Earth, but everything's ruined."

"How... t-the... inve-vestigation going on?" Chronoa's voice crackled over the communicator, distorted by interference.

"Something... is jamming communications. But you can still see us using Elder Kai's crystal ball," Trunks replied.

From the Time Nest, Ai, Ruby, Aqua, and Elder Kai watched closely.

Suddenly, a flash of light caught their attention-Towa appeared before them, smirking.

Trunks gritted his teeth and lunged, but his punch was intercepted by Bardock, now shrouded in a dark, ominous aura. Trunks struggled free, stepping back, ready to fight.
