Kyungmi had received this email about a week ago(bout a week ago week ago). She had been thinking hard about it. She knew that it meant she would be moving to Japan for six months. She decided that she would take the offer and go to Japan.
The thing is, she didn't even say a thing about it to Jinki.

It was on a Monday, Kyungmi had started to pack her things. Today she had work at Jinki's but she had to tell him that she would be gone.
When she walked into his office, he stood up and smiled.
He walked over to her and put a rose into her hand. He kissed her on the cheek and said,"Good morning, darling."
Kyungmi blushed a bit because she was surprised. "Hey, what's all this for?"
He rubbed her bottom lip with his thumb,"Just cause I love you." Guilt fled over Kyungmi. She couldn't leave him for six months.
Actually, you know what, yes she could. This was her life. It's not like they were married.
She let out a breath and said,"I need to talk to you about something." Jinki gulped and nodded,"Come sit."
They both went and sat on the couch in his office. She clasped her hands in her laps and looked into his eyes.
"I got offered a six month internship in Japan. I'm taking it."
Jinki furrowed his eyebrows,"You're leaving? How long have you known about this? Why didn't you talk to me?"
Kyungmi noticed his anger start to boil,"Yes, I am leaving. I've known about it for a week. And I didn't talk to you about it because I didn't think I had to. It's my decision if I want to go."
Jinki let out an exasperated sigh,"A week?! Kyungmi, you and I, we're a couple. You're supposed to talk to me about things like this."
Kyungmi narrowed her eyes,"It isn't your decision to make! It's up to me, and me alone!"
Jinki stood up and walked away to where his back was facing her. "When are you leaving?"
She spoke,"Tomorrow."
He turned his head back to her with wide eyes,"That's hardly even enough time to say goodbye!"
She could tell he was worried. She stood up and let out a sigh. "I'm sorry, Jinki, but I'm not changing my mind. You'll have to hire someone to take my place while I'm gone."
She walked forward and hugged him from behind. He leaned into the hug and squeezed his eyes shut. "I don't want you to go..."
She nodded and rubbed his sides,"I know, but I'll be back." He turned around to face her with tears in his eyes.
"I love you so much." He put a hand on her cheek and she smiled softly. "I love you too."

The next day Kyungmi was packed and ready to go. She drove to the airport after stuffing everything in her car.
At the airport, Jinki came to say goodbye. He walked up behind her and poked her side.
She jumped around but let out a breath when she saw it was him.
He was smiling, but she noticed his eyes were all puffy. Poor thing must have been crying all night.
He hugged her and spoke,"I'm going to miss you so much."
She buried her head in his chest,"Don't forget about me." He forces a laugh,"Like I could do that."
He backed away and pushed her hair behind her ear. "I love you." She smiled and stepped up on her tiptoes to kiss him.
The kiss was desperate. He didn't want to let her go. She had to pull away saying,"I have to go. I'll try to come visit you."
And then she was gone, flying away for six months. Jinki let out a small whimper as he watched her plane lift off.

Jinki was curled up on his bed under his blanket. He was in grey sweatpants and a black hoodie.
A knock came from the door. When he didn't go to open it, it started to unlock.
The only person with a key to Jinki's apartment was his best friend, Jonghyun.
Jonghyun walked into his room and saw a lump in the blankets. "Oh Jinki is that you?"
"Mm.." Jonghyun barely heard the sound. He moved to the bed and sat down. He did try to take the blankets off or anything, he just sat there.
After a few minutes of Jinki just sniffling under the blanket, Jonghyun finally asked quietly,"What happened?"
Jinki slowly pulled himself out of the blankets and sat Indian style. His head was down as he looked at his hands.
His nose was red and his eyes were all puffy. "Kyungmi and I had a fight.. She got offered an internship in Japan, and she accepted without even saying anything to me. She left today.."
Jonghyun nodded,"Mm... Did you two make up or did she leave mad?"
Jinki shook his head,"We made up. It was my fault we had the fight. I couldn't understand her and how she felt.."
His voice shook and he fell back on the bed,"Gosh, Jjong, it was so awful.. I feel like she's going to forget about me or cheat on me.."
Jonghyun laid down next to him and clasped his hands under his head. "You know she wouldn't do that. She loves you, Jinki. You can see it just by the way she looks at you. And when you hug her and she gets closer. She loves you so much, and you know it."
Jinki rolled over to face Jonghyun. "I know.. I just wish she would've told me sooner so I could've planned something for us to do before she left."
Jonghyun turned his head to look at him. "Jinki, you are the CEO of a major company. You can just fly over there and see her whenever you like."
Jinki was quiet for a while before saying,"I want to go right now, but she would probably be mad.."
Jonghyun nodded,"You're right. This is her chance to spread her wings and a time to just figure things out with herself. You should go see her in a month or two."
Jinki almost screamed,"Two months?! I can't wait that long!"
Jonghyun turned his head to face the ceiling again. "You'll be okay. You can call her and Skype her. I can come live with you if you want, so you're not lonely." He glanced at Jinki before saying,"I know you two didn't live together, but you'll still be lonely."
Jinki let out a whimper,"Jjong, you're such a good friend.."
Jonghyun just smiled up at the wall before saying,"I'm going to go buy some food. You should find a movie or something."
