Chapter 6

"Prince Andrew," Madame Lavigne announced, capturing everyone's attention.

"Indeed, Prince Andrew is a student here at the Academy," she continued, her voice projecting through the hall. "But let me assure you, his presence here is not a mere whim. It's a testament to the Academy's commitment to fostering talent, regardless of background or title."

"Prince Andrew's enrollment at the Academy is an effort to debunk the widespread gossip about him in England. Many believed that he was merely a privileged royal, born into a life of luxury and devoid of real accomplishments. However, that is far from the truth."

"As it turns out, Prince Andrew is an exceptionally gifted Ace with unique abilities. His extraordinary talent was hidden from the public eye for years, not to perpetuate any scandal, but to protect him from undue attention and potential harm. The palace authorities, along with his family, wisely decided to send him here to the Academy, where he can receive the specialized training and guidance he needs to harness his powers."

"This decision reflects our belief that every individual, regardless of their lineage, deserves the opportunity to nurture their potential. Prince Andrew is living proof that royalty can be more than just figureheads; they can be powerful Aces who can contribute positively to our world."

"Hello everyone, I hope we get along," Prince Andrew simply greeted, his voice carrying an air of confidence. He briefly exchanged glances with his sister, who returned a small smile before spinning on his feet and proceeding down the hallway without a word.

"Alright students, now finally, I'd like to inform you of the Academy's rules," Madame Lavigne said, her tone a bit more serious. "There are only three simple rules, and I trust that you all would adhere to them. Firstly, though you're free to explore anywhere you'd like, no student is allowed near the East Wing of the school," she began.

"Secondly, you are not to skip any classes without reason. Your professors will assess you based on your performance in their classes, and if you fail based on these assessments, you'll need to repeat the class next year," she explained.

"Thirdly and most importantly, romantic relationships are not allowed. This is The Academy For The Aces, not Cupid's College," she said firmly. "Just like the ones that came before you, your mission at this school is to hone your unique abilities and unveil the true potential within you," she stated.

"Love, while a powerful force, can become a distraction and jeopardize the focus required to harness your extraordinary talents. The bonds you form here will be those of camaraderie, trust, and mutual growth as Aces," she finished.

"If you're able to exceed expectations, any one of you can become notable alumni like some of your forefathers and create an even bigger impact in the world."

"Well then, I hope orientation was insightful for all of you. I'll assign you your dorms now," she stated, summoning Onion who appeared in a puff of smoke, holding a bunch of keys, each with name tags and numbers.

"On your room key is a number, whoever amongst you has the same number will now be your roommate," she instructed.

"Madame Lavigne," a boy called out. He was about average height, had kinky black curls, dark skin, and was quite handsome.

"Yes?" Madame Lavigne answered.

"I think there's been some mix-up, my roommate...is a girl," he stated, which made other students raise similar concerns.

"Yes, here at the Academy, some of the dorm arrangements are a bit unconventional. However, it was intentional, and thorough evaluations based on your abilities are what led to these arrangements," Madame Lavigne clarified. "I assure you the dorms include personal privacy for both parties. Now, follow Onion, he'll lead you to your rooms," she said and left the students with the little creature.

"F-f-follow me, children," Onion stuttered and waddled down the hallways. As the students entered the dorm area, they were greeted by a grand foyer adorned with tapestries depicting mythical creatures.

The dormitories themselves were a symphony of opulence and functionality, seamlessly blending the historic architecture with modern comforts.

The common areas, dotted throughout the dorm section, served as social hubs where students gathered and socialized. Here, comfortable couches and armchairs surrounded roaring fireplaces, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Bookshelves lined the walls, stocked with tomes on history books.

All the students began looking for their room numbers, including Faith. When she finally found the wooden door adorned with the number 8, she shakily pushed the key into the keyhole, turning it until she heard a gentle click. When she stepped in, she was graced with a spacious room, elegantly furnished, featuring antique wooden desks, cozy reading nooks, and plush beds with intricately embroidered comforters.
The walls were adorned with enchanted paintings that seemed to come alive, showcasing mesmerizing scenes from distant lands. However, the thing that captured her eyes most of all was the boy that stood before her.

"Hello, Prince Andrew. I'm Faith Holmes," she greeted, her heart pounding in her chest.
