Chapter 21
As the battle commenced, the classroom transformed into an arena of magical prowess. Students unleashed their abilities with precision and intensity, each pair showcasing their unique strategies.
Malcom, with his inventive mind, took the lead. He quickly deployed one of his fascinating gadgets that emitted a dazzling array of lights and sounds. With the help of Faith's Intuition ability, they predicted their opponents' moves with uncanny accuracy.
Prince Andrew and Daiyu fought back with equal fervor, but the combination of Faith's Intuition and Malcom's creative inventions proved to be a formidable force. The classroom erupted with flashes of light, gusts of wind, and bursts of mystical energies.
Throughout the intense battle, Faith couldn't help but notice hints of jealousy in Prince Andrew's expressions. It seemed that the competition had ignited a competitive fire within him as well. However, she pushed the thought aside, focusing on the task at hand.
In a daring move, Malcom's invention created a mesmerizing distraction, allowing Faith to close in and use her Intuition to expose their opponent's weaknesses. With calculated precision, they brought Prince Andrew and Daiyu to their knees, ending the battle in their favor.
Faith and Malcom high-fived in celebration of their victory, their partnership proving to be a dynamic and effective one. As they caught their breath, Prince Andrew couldn't help but interject with a sarcastic remark. "Impressive, I suppose. A bit flashy, though," he said with a smirk, attempting to downplay their success.
Faith shot him a glare, her competitive spirit still ablaze. "Well, Your Highness, if you think you can do better, feel free to try," she retorted, her response laced with snark.
Their banter continued as the class concluded, but underneath the playful rivalry, Faith couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in what she and Malcolm had achieved. Unison was a powerful tool, and she knew that their partnership had the potential to grow even stronger.
As they left the classroom, Faith glanced at Prince Andrew, sensing a mixture of admiration and jealousy in his eyes. She couldn't deny the intensity of their interactions, and she wondered how their paths would continue to intertwine throughout their time at the academy.
"Is it just me, or has my brother warmed up to you?" Antheia said, interrupting Faith's thoughts.
Faith raised an eyebrow at Antheia's remark, trying to downplay any assumptions. "Oh, come on, it's just friendly competition," she replied with a half-hearted smile.
Daiyu chimed in, nodding in agreement. "Indeed, Prince Andrew's competitive nature tends to show itself quite often."
Antheia laughed playfully. "Oh, I've seen that look in his eyes before. He may not admit it, but he's intrigued by you, Faith."
Faith blushed slightly, feeling a mix of flattery and unease. She knew there was something between her and Prince Andrew, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. "It's all in good fun, I suppose," she said, trying to steer the conversation away from the topic.
Daiyu smiled knowingly, teasingly adding, "Just remember, he might be a prince, but he's not invincible. Keep him on his toes, and you'll do just fine."
Faith chuckled, appreciating Daiyu's insight. "I'll keep that in mind. But for now, let's focus on the next challenge that awaits us."
As the trio continued to make their way through the bustling hallways of the academy, Faith couldn't help but wonder what the future held for her and Prince Andrew. Their banter and interactions were both intriguing and intense, and she had a feeling that their paths would continue to cross in unexpected ways.
