"You're so beautiful." A voice commented behind her. She abruptly stopped her joyful dance in the rain.

"Brayden." She said softly, taking a step away from him.

"Sash, it's time to come home."

"I'm here aren't I?" She replied snidely.

"You know that's not what I mean."

"Go away Brayden."

"I love you."

"No...you don't. You love who you want me to be."

"Sasha we're all readyyyyy!" She heard Chloe behind her.

"Shit." Her eyes widened with panic. "You gotta get outta here."

"I'm not leaving without you."

"Hey babe." She felt Kellan wrap an arm around her waist. She watched Brayden watch the exchange and saw the dawning of what it meant.

"Who is he?" Brayden's voice low, deadly.

"None of your business."

"You're mine."

"Let me let you in on a little secret Brayden, I am no one's but my own."

"Don't start a war with me Sasha. Not over some boy."

"Bring it." She spat turning and ushering Chloe and Kellan into her Hummer.

"Who was that?" Kellan questioned as Sasha tore out of the parking lot.

"That was Sasha's intended. You know, before she went AWOL." Chloe interjected before Sasha could respond.

"Your 'intended'?"

"My mother thinks he's a wise choice. But she also thinks that Rosylyn and I will sit back and let everyone else rule our lives."

"Speaking of Ros, she's here."

"Here as in?"

"As in will be at dinner tonight."

"Did she come back or did they find her?"

"She heard about you."

"Shit."

"Exactly."
